So I'm not exactly sure why, but I am really, really happy that the Tigers beat the Yankees. I don't even care at all about baseball, but it still just warms my little heart that the TIGERS beat the YANKEES. Maybe living in Boston for so long has gotten me a low-level hatred for the Yankees, which is weird since I haven't picked up any affection ( Read more... )

Being a Yankees fan, I have no choice but to be offended by your post.

But I am now rooting for the Tigers since I lived in Michigan for so long.

One of my roommates (who is originally from Michigan and is a huge Tigers fan) is now going to Gordon-Conwell and was telling me about all the Mass-holes who hate the Yankees. It sounds to me like Boston is a city full of hateful, bitter, people with weird accents.

Watch out, buddy-- people who talk like this often end up living in Boston for years and years, and wearing aLOT of Red Sox gear. I've seen it happen. It's true, Red Sox fans are wackjobs, but I don't think it's fair (or very nice) to label us a city full of hateful bitter people with weird accents!

I own a Red Sox hat, and I dont own a Tigers hat. I would love to go to Fenway Park someday. One of the few old stadiums left. But now, I'm going to have to get some Tigers stuff. You just can't wear stuff for a team that looses 112 games.
