“Excuse me miss, may ask if where’s the female dancer’s audition?” Danica inquired to the receptionist.
“5th floor, studio 7 ma’am. Here’s the pass, your number and please fill up this form. ”
“Thank you so much” bowing to receptionist and now advancing towards the audition area.
As anticipated almost 2000 girls coming from different parts of JAPAN came to take part to one of the biggest event in JAPAN’s entertainment industry. It’s really unusual for the JE Company to hold this kind of audition especially for females. As we all know that the well known entertainment company and the largest among all, is a company whose talents are all males. So auditioning and passing the screening would be a chance of a lifetime.
“Next!!!!” shouted by the coordinator.
“Okay, this is it Nics. Relax and don’t mind those people outside. Remember you’re here to make your dreams come true. Give your best shot in this one. Ganbare Let’s Go!!!!!” cheering herself.
“So, Miss Morse according to your resume, you’re a registered nurse and already working, is that right?” inquired by one of the panelist.
“Hai, that’s right sir” confirming the question given to her.
“Then, why is it that you still wanted to try-out? Aren’t you satisfied with your work?” another panelist asked
“Not actually sir, but like everyone else inside this room, my passion is dancing. It’s a part of my life that can’t be taken away. If someone might try…………. I’m just like a puzzle with a missing piece that would never be complete” Whole heartedly and with all honesty answering.
Danica passed the first screening and from more than thousands, they were cut down to a hundred. For the final screening, a choreographer taught them a couple of hip-hop dance steps. They should memorize the steps in a short period of time while the panelists were roaming around observing. Luckily, Danica has this gift in memorizing and a matter of 2-3 times of watching the choreographer, she remembered the routine perfectly while none of her competitors were half way there. After a few more minutes, they were asked again on middle stage and music was played. The dance routine was repeated 5 times then the participants were instructed to wait for the result.
“Nics chill, at least you tried your best and besides there’s always a second chance, right?” tapping her hands then shifting to rubbing it on her pants, convincing herself but still nervous.
“First of all, I want to say that all of you are great dancers and all of you can be a candidate to be chosen but sadly, we only need 10 girls. I’ll be announcing the name of the girls who passed the screening.”
“First on the line, Shida Mirai”
“Next Rin Yamashita”
“Third Kazuko Maki ” the panelist continued announcing the names of those who passed. It was the last 2 spots and yet Danica’s name was not yet mention. She’s losing hope and when last spot was about to announce she shot her ears not wanting to hear the bad news.
“Okay, for the last spot it’s for…….. Yuna Todo” tear drops were about to fall from Danica’s eyes.

“Oh! Wait, my apologies I miss look the other name. It’s not Yuna Todo but Morse Danica, again sorry for my inaccuracy, to those people involve and also to the others. The panelist felt apologetic of her mistake. A girl named Shida walked towards Danica who was about to live the studio..
“Excuse me; Morse-san right”
“Hai, do you need something” she wondered why.
“Actually the staffs are calling us for instructions, we need to memorize a new dance for the next week show” shida informed
“C-c-chotto…… what new dance are you talking about and what show?” she was really confuse.
“You pass right? The other judge miss look your name and announced someone else name. Didn’t you hear her asking an apology?” Shida’s starting to get confuse too.
“Did you just say I PASS the audition?!?!?!” the idea was still unable to sink in, in Danica’s mind
“Hai, You Passed” verifying the question asked.
“Oh……………….My……………. GOD!!!!! Kyaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” too much happiness succumbed Danica. Her heart wanted to burst from overflowing joy, jumping in front of the bewildered girl. On her way out of Jimusho passing the cafeteria, she heard someone calling her name. As a reflex, she turned around to where the voice was heard but end up looking to an empty hallway. She went home with a happy face, grinning and humming to herself.
