“Do I get to hear a livelier voice? Besides I made all the efforts coz I know how much you love dancing. Give me some credit.” pouting to her best friend’s lack of enthusiasm.
“Okay, I’m all ears now so spill it already will you?” turning her chair facing Melanie waiting for what she calls good news.
“The Johnny’s entertainment announced that they’ll be conducting auditions for FEMALE back up dancers!!!!! Isn’t it great?! It’s your chance Nica I’m sure lots of girls will be auditioning.” Shouting the news in excitement.
“Really!?!?!? Kyaaahh!!!!!!!!!!!! Melanie this is a dream come true!” Danice jumped off from her sit and run towards her awarding a bear hug. Happiness was evident all over her face.
“mmmmm………..Nics can’t breathe” trying to release herself from the tight hug
“When’s the audition by the way? I should prepare for it.” Excited with the announcement.
“mmmmmm……. Nics, I forgot to say something” biting her lower lip.
“What?”
“The audition shall be held later this afternoon around 2 P.M. in Jimusho.” Guilty with her sin
“What?! Holy cow! I’m not ready Mel!!!! I mean…….. I don’t have enough time to practice………. moreover I still have my duty tonight. Maybe it’s not meant for me…….” sad where the situation was leading. Danica thought it was her chance but maybe not.
“Nics, get over yourself! For your dream’s sake, now you’ve got to bring it!” holding her by the shoulder Melanie encourages her to follow her passion and make herself happy even just this once. She knows that all this years, Danica tried meeting the expectations coming from her family leaving her own desires neglected and forgotten.
“Thanks best but what should be my auditioning piece?” thinking on what to dance.
“Remember your dance competition in college? Can you still recall the steps? Do you have the copy of the music?” evoking her memory of the past.
“Yes I still have it but what if I mess up, what if I’m not ready (so true)? What if I slipped off my feet and disgrace myself?” paranoia over coming Danica
“Enough with your stupid buts and what ifs! It’s your year remember? Smiling an encouraging smile.
“Thanks best and NO it’s OUR year. I’m glad I have a crazy best friend like you.” Hugging each other tightly
“Hey!!!! Was that a compliment? Now go to your room and get dress!” shooing her friend from the dining table.
