What's happening?
Let's review what's happened since my last entry. The last weekend in August was Welcome Weekend here in good old Mt. P...Thursday night was a crazy time with Raeleen involving 4 different bars, rain, lots of freshmen mocking, and finally some great dancing at the Wayside. Finish it up with a shower at 2 a.m., it was a crazy night! But I didn't partake in the rest of the weekend festivities. Instead, I headed up to Suttons Bay to hang out with Andy. Friday night, we were supposed to go to a Beach Bums baseball game, but after too much time hanging out at his aunt and uncles and at dinner, we missed it (ok with me, since it was cold out, and I am not the world's biggest baseball fan). Then we hit up the bar and met some of his friends there. Needless to say, I got triz-ashed, and got sick, so that kind of put a damper on our night. The next day, I tried to conquer a monster hangover with lots of relaxing and movie watching, then it was time to head out for a 25th anniversary party. It ended up being really fun and I met some more of Andy's friends and family. Everyone was really nice and made me feel really welcome. I even ended up with "Andy is a stud" written on my cast, courtesy of the party host, Jean. The next day was Andy's grandma's 75th birthday party. Also quite fun. Drunken family gatherings are always a blast. Especially when the keg runs out and someone has to go on a beer run at 6 p.m. Josh even got majorly hit on by all of Andy's aunts. Funny stuff. And I got to see Korson and his bum foot, so that was nice. I headed home Monday morning just in time for work...AND MY FIRST CLASS!!
Classes are going to be rough I think. Lots of work. Good thing I don't have a lot of them. Here's my week.
Monday: work 8-5, meeting 5:30-6:30, class 6:30-9:30
Tuesday: class 11-2, internship 2:30-4:30, class 5-6:15, then starting October 24, another class 7-8:50
Wednesday: work 8-5, meeting 5:30-6:30
Thursday: class 11-2, internship 2:30-4:30, class 5-6:15
Friday: internship 1-3
This past weekend, Labor Day, started with a trip downstate Thursday night. I had to get my hand x-rayed Friday morning, so I figured I would see the rents and do some laundry. Friday morning, I got my cast off and got a removable brace, which is nice. I guess its not healing great tho, so I am kind of concerned. Then I drove to Mt. P, where I met up with KP for a ride to Gaylord. We pigged out and chilled around her house until Andy and Korson got there. Then we hit up Norman's and Jet's Pizza. Then Andy, Korson, and I made the trip to T.C. We went bowling, and I lost the first game, but I beat Andy in the second, so that was cool. Then Caleb came with us to the bar where we just chilled with some beer. The next day, Andy took me for a ride on his motorcycle, which was pretty awesome! I had never been on one, so I enjoyed that. Then KP came up and we went over to Andy's sister Molly's house. It was fun times, finished up with some hot tub fun. And Andy and I decided that we are official, so everyone can stop asking me. Then Sunday we went picking peaches and then to watch some fantasy football draft, which was riveting...not. Then lots of drinking and playing presidents and assholes, which was fun. Josh makes the best teapot in the world...we also went to a bonfire at the neighbor's. Monday we sat around and did nothing until we finally went to go see Accepted. Then KP and I had to leave...sad day. Won't see our boys again until the 15th...
And now its back to the daily grind. Tommorow morning is my time to face the music on my ticket, so I am hoping that the judge goes easy on us...
