Since Jamie and Damon had lived together in their flat for quite a while now, it was rather a ritual of the both to often pay close attention to one another - how each other's minds ticked and what, well, intrigued the other.

"Damon, I was wondering what you were cooking tonight for us," Jamie asked politely, entering the kitchen in a slouch.

Damon, who was standing in front of the stove, was resting a pan down on the stove top. He smiled back at Jamie from across the room and answered, "Stir-fry seems reasonable, don't it? We have some noodles and loads of vegetables in the fridge."

It seemed like a good idea to Jamie so he nodded and left Damon to his work, heading back to his half of the world in drawing. He had been working on some sort of new character for their band, Gorillaz, and was beginning to understand the inner-workings of creating an entirely intricate story of someone else who didn't even exist. Jamie was quite interested in his work until he heard the food sizzling in the other room. His stomach abruptly growled and he rolled his eyes, snarling at the empty feeling in general. He placed his pencil down and decided to head into the next room over again to bug Damon a little while he was cooking.

"Oh, Damon, love, you look so sweet whilst you're cooking, you know," Jamie said charmingly.

Damon rolled his eyes, but had to smirk as he knew Jamie loved teasing him about anything really. He watched his friend slide into the room and cross his arms, the artist's blue eyes then searching throughout the looks of the half cooked stir-fry.

When he realised that Jamie would not be sitting down anytime soon and was still watching the food in honest interest, he turned back to his food and ran a hand back through his shaggy blond hair.

Slowly, Jamie made his way behind Damon, the floor tiles squeaking occasionally. Damon obviously knew that Jamie was behind him so he began smiling unintentionally.

"Are you gonna try and scare me, Hewlett?" Damon teased. "Because I know you're right behind me!"

"Nooo," Jamie argued softly. He brought a hand up to Damon's back; it almost seemed as though he was going to push him forward but he didn't. His hand lingered behind Damon until he then lowered it so very slowly, grimace crossing his usually playful face. "You just always look lonely when you're cooking so I wanted to watch and keep company."

"I'm not lonely; I'm concentrating," Damon replied, tilting his head slightly while stirring the food. "Everything I make has to be perfect; a delicacy!"

Jamie then, with much reasoning going on in that busy mind of his, finally ended up on siding that he couldn't give up so easily on Damon while in the kitchen. He raised his hand again and firmly pressed it along the small of Damon's back. The vocalist shuffled awkwardly forward and his body stiffened.

"Erm, Jamie..." Damon coughed out. "Wha-what are you doing?"

The artist brought himself so that he was beside Damon, arm now resting along his lower back. He smiled softly but the blond noticed a funny gleam in his eye.

"Oh jeez, Jamie, what are you pulling," Damon scoffed, a little unsteady with Jamie's mindset.

Jamie brought his other hand up to Damon's right arm and dragged it down his skin, right down until the wrist. The other arm remained along the blond's back. Damon seemed at unease but allowed the touches anyway. He didn't all mind it, to be honest, which had him a bit confused.

"Jamie, I don't understand what you're trying to pull but maybe 's not the time while I'm cooking food."

Jamie nodded, masking an upset look as he pulled away. When he was once again right behind Damon, he rested his hands on either side of Damon's hips and then the blond let out a small laugh, startled by the touch. The brunette, unaware of why he did this next, but he then brought his face lower down to the nape of Damon's neck, smelling carefully along his skin. He suddenly pushed his lips against Damon's skin and the blond shuddered, yet did not pull away. It was astounding to Damon himself.

"Jamie..." Damon warned, a bit bothered but at the same time, not, by Jamie's caresses. He didn't know what to feel, but yet it felt right so he just allowed it.

Jamie ran his hands up Damon's hips and to his waist, still over top of the material of Damon's shirt. The blond giggled when Jamie squeezed softly at the area but otherwise remained silent, continuing to cook.

It amazed Jamie how Damon could multitask with both cooking and allowing him to touch Damon all over and in every place he could reach.

The artist kissed the nape of Damon's neck multiple times until he just couldn't stand it anymore without seeing Damon's face and whether he was enjoying this or not. He tugged the singer away from the sizzling pan and Damon squeaked quite literally, which had them both sniggering and laughing together. Although still not facing each other, Jamie pulled Damon in for a tight hug and the blond fell back into the hug, resting his head back on Jamie's shoulder. Once the brunette could see Damon's face, he began kissing along his cheek, the blond scrunching up his nose but never pulling away.

While still caressing Damon now along the front of his shirt around his lower stomach area, the blond turned willingly and nudged his nose against Jamie's cheek, laughing softly.

"You're distracting me from my work," Damon giggled. He leaned back a bit while Jamie kissed along his neck, occasionally leaving some small wet marks.

He began sucking on the skin and when Damon began shuddering, he would stop. Two steady bruises would probably be appearing on Damon's neck along the course of the next couple of days and that made Jamie smirk.

"Ah, well, you know, I think I was a born-made distraction for you, Albarn," Jamie joked, winking at the blond.

Things began to get more heated when Jamie turned Damon around and backed him into the fridge. At once, their lips met unexpectedly and Jamie roughly rushed his hands through Damon's hair, nails clawing at his scalp. Damon moaned lowly and pulled his head back, forcing it against the fridge for a moment to catch his breath. Jamie continued touching Damon's arm, fingers faintly brushing the smooth skin and the blond moaned again from the touch alone.

"O-oh, Jamie," Damon cried quietly, bringing his head forward again. He repeatedly pecked at Jamie's lips taking him into some sweet but short kisses. The connection was all that mattered, not the length of time. "The food..."

Jamie chuckled softly, running his hands along Damon's arms until reaching his hands. They intertwined their fingers with one another's and Damon tiredly smiled at the specific and loving touch. "Aww, Damon, I thought you were going to say 'I love you' or something nice."

"Shit, Jamie, I do love you," Damon replied, eagerly moving his face forward for another sincere kiss. "Goddamn it, why didn't I realise sooner?"

"You cook too much?"

"Yes, I do suppose."

"More Jamie-time, then, Damon?"

"If you want take-out more often, then sure."

They both laughed at the short exchange of words. While still smiling softly at each other, Jamie raised his hand, tugging up Damon's as well and brought it to the blond's chest resting both his and Damon's hand above the blond's heart. He closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the silence and the close contact.

"I love you too," Jamie murmured, finally after opening his eyes once more. He glanced at Damon and looked all over his face to realise to sheer happiness that was spreading across it. "Jeez, you are so beautiful."

"Jamie," Damon laughed back. "Aw thanks. Even the short length of time that we've lived together, I've noticed I've never really liked someone more than you." He removed his hand from Jamie's grasp and brought his now free one to touch along Jamie's collarbone and shoulder. He carefully watched his own hand and while touching along Jamie's upper body, he felt Jamie's heartbeat from his hand that rested above his friend's heart, the hand that Jamie was still holding tightly in his own.

In that moment, Damon almost swore they were one person. In fact, so did Jamie. The artist pulled Damon close again for another kiss until he gasped and pointed at the stove while looking over the artist's shoulder.

The food had caught fire.

Jamie looked back for a moment in absolute shock and when he glanced back at Damon, the blond looked very frustrated.

Great. What a relaxing way to finish their intimate moment.
