This will only be about the good things in my life.
Grant built me a really awesome, PURPLE computer for my birthday. Even named it for me. Betsy, as in Betsy Brandt the actress from "Breaking Bad". Her character's favourite colour is purple. Her entire palate is purple. Makes me happy and sad. "Purple is MY colour!" the five-year-old inside me says.
(If you haven't noticed, I've decided to use the UK spellings--at least in this post.)
My apartment is slowly coming together. I have real furniture and real appliances! Not everything. And not cohesive yet. I have a big TV in the living room. A nice couch. Need curtains still. I want peacock blue. Still haven't done my TMNT "painting". My room is turning into a witch's haven rather than the goth cave I anticipated. Needs curtains in there, too. Gotta get that third book shelf, too.
I have awesome light plates on three of my switches. I have two others being commissioned. The one for the bathroom is mermaids and koi. The one for the living room/kitchen is astrology and astronomy. Totally excited for them!
I've been bad about keeping my room clean for about three months, but I think I do a decent job in the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Especially since I do it all myself. I don't have to take the garbage EVERY time. And that's nice. I do love my dish washer. (I should hand wash more often.)
Halloween is almost here! I have two costumes for that day and one more for Zombie Walk. I'm planning on working both shifts that day. So for the AM shift, I'll be Mario. My dear friend Grace shall be my Luigi. The PM shift will see me as a panda. I hope it's awesome and not totally ridiculous. I put so much time, effort, and money into it. Well, not THAT much money, just much more than I should have. Tomorrow I'm going to try to do a final dry run and have everything together, ready to go. I've done two dry runs on the make-up. I just need to make sure all the pieces of the costume are ready. And get that pesky Mario costume!
Still haven't lived alone. I have a roommate who shall remain nameless. He wants to be off the radar. So his name is Polar Bear. It's been interesting living with him. Things have always been platonic and will remain so. He's not the first male I've resided with, but it's different with him. Nothing like Peter. He knows so much about me. Who I am, how I react to things. Apparently that's not hard to do, read my expressions. We've had some rough spots, but who doesn't? I'm learning how to argue more effectively. And learning more about the world around me. It's been eye-opening.
Oh, look at the time! Jamie's self-indulgence of hearing her own voice is up!
Hey!
HEY!!
I KNOW that you can't hear my voice but I do. And why shouldn't I? It's my blog, after all. Until the next time....
