(no subject)
Well, I am now sitting here after napping for awhile. Terra took me out to eat at McCoy's Public House for my birthday this evening. Man, I had some great "comfort" food: mac and cheese, cowboy beans, a s'mores cheesecake for dessert and nice brown ale to wash it all down. Needless to say, it was very satisfying, but it basically knocked me out for the night. I was thinking of heading out to Old Chicago to meet up with the boyz, but I am was just too goddamn drowsy. Plus I've had this strange frickin' headache all day. So anyway, I think I will definitely make my way over there NEXT monday.
This past weekend was pretty dang good. My dad, Joey, Marcus, Molly and Ramona all came up on saturday and we all went to the Park Tavern for some bowling. Afterwards, we went to go see "Munich", which along with "Good Night and Good Luck" makes up the grand total of best picture nominees we have seen. I don't know what happened. I guess that damn Netflix is keeping us from seeing movies in the theater these days. Anyway, "Munich" was quite good, and it stimulated a lot of discussion afterwards. My dad was very happy that we managed to plan a fun and successful outing without my mom. I think she would have been pleased.
Sunday brunch was good, even though I didn't really talk to Jen or Ravi. Oh well, when you have 12-15 people at a table I guess you just have to accept that. I spent the rest of the day fiddling with my new iPod, which was Terra's kick-ass present to me. I am way too uncool to own something like this, but I am having fun with it anyway.
I'm gonna sign off now and crawl into bed. Sorry to the Old Chicago crew. I really wanted to come, but in the end I just didn't feel up to it. As I said, next week is looking very likely.
