So Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT) was ruled unconstitutional last night. The House is ready to repeal the measure, the Senate still has to work on it. The article behind the cut gives a decent accounting of what's going on.

So the Illinios House voted 114-1 to impeach Rod Blagojevich today. His spokesperson says Blagojevich has no plans to resign (still!). It will take 40 senators (out of the 59 state senators in Illinois) to remove him from office ( Read more... )

A really great article about the Bush Administration's work to supress and discredit scientific progress and discovery appeared in Olivia Judson's NY Times blog today.  It's worth reading if you have interest in the relationship between politics and science.

I live in a rental property, and the proprieter owns all of the duplex townhouses on the street, which is just a small cul-de-sac with a total of 10 units.
