Sold 25 .... [?] Bank Shares to N Lea and son before leaving and drew £120 on acc[ount]. £50 I took with me, making a 2nd £50 and £70 I paid into Bm Bank Co. Paid Cook and Son £37.4/6 for travelling tickets for Tadie and me to Naples and back.1 Cleared up all patients I could and then left with Tadie at 2 for London. Fanny seeing us off: arrived at 5 and went to Charing Cross Hotel in evening with Fred Robinson and his wife to see Iolanthe - a poor affair.

1. The Wests' travel ticket for their journey is stuck into the diary at this point (presumably retrospectively).
