Which ones? People seems to have missed the point in this. I am not attacking people's right to believe in things, I am wondering why people have made a religion of it when the idea was created in our own lifetime.

People believe in Scientology. That was created recently too.

Some people need some sort of escapism, to believe there is something bigger 'out there'. That would be why the Jedi has become a religion. Some people prefer the morals that they see these characters upheld in the films. And to get some sort of escape from this excuse for a society.

The Jedi has been a recognised religion in Australia for some time now. Its also recognised in several other countries I think.

The Jedi's philosophy is based on the Force, that there is one entity that surrounds everything and is in everything and that things happen the way this entity wants. Like each religion's God.

Even though you didn't actually do it, I feel like you attacked my faith. But why bother in arguing with you about it? It will only piss me off, and its doubtful that any reasonable points will be put forth.

there are many religions thats they would say that it was a crazy idea, but the people who believe in it believe in it. it what matters in what you believe, yes its human nature to ask why do you believe in this.
Its like saying you are crazy to believe in vampires? but somme of us do. think about that.

Vampires have roots in cultures all over the world. Vampires are an ancient concept. However, Jedi were created in the last forty years. We know they aren't real. Again people seem to have missed the point in this. I am not attacking peoples right to believe in things.
