Planarian

Feb 02, 2006 22:35

I'm currently reading a 10-page article on the regeneration of an organism called a planarian. Needless to say, I am a nerdy science major. But that isn't why I chose to update tonight. I hate getting all depressed and shit when I write in here but that's how I feel right now. For some unknown reason I feel as if all my will to succeed and achieve greatness has been sucked from me. I am doing terribly this semester and it's making me more and more sad. The worst part about it is that I KNOW I can do all of what is handed to me...I just haven't done it. If I want to go to med school this cannot keep happening. I've worked far too hard to give up everything for what?!? For laziness? My god! It would be one thing if I was preoccupied with say work or something else time consuming but there is nothing different from last semester. Hmm...I need a thinking break so I'm going to list my schedule like I do every semester on LJ.

If that schedule sounds like fun to you, let me assure you it is not. On Wednesdays I'm out of the apartment from 8am till 8pm. Sick!! Blahhh. On the brighter side of things, I'm trying to be a mentor (RA) next year and after the first group interview last weekend I got invited back for a formal one on one interview. Looks like an excuse to buy a new dress shirt! I hope it goes well, I kid you not when I say that I want this job more than I've wanted anything. I'm willing to jump through hoops...or whatever it takes! I won't find out if I get the job till spring break time though, so I'll be sure to update here if I get it. Oh yeah!!!! I get my braces off March 3rd! Holy shit that's amazing. I've been waiting two years for this, and I'll finally feel like a real college student, not a 16 year old! Well, I still have to finish reading my article and with luck I'll crack open a little organic chemistry. Laaater.
