Put in 12 hours(!) at work yesterday, sorting out a major code merge in subversion with our senior SE guy. Today is going to be dominated by a super-long dev meeting on what changes need to be made to our API, and how much requirements-gathering work we should expect to go through with our editorial staff in the coming weeks. Got out of work yesterday and rolled down to Olympic for the usual Tuesday $0.99/game bowling that starts at 9pm (just after getting out of work). The place was practically empty, and the lanes were still well-oiled. Tom and I are starting League bowling next week, and can expect similar conditions. Our first games were lousy (both barely above 100), but our second and third games were much improved, around 140-150 all around. I was trying to find a consistent approach for most of the night, and finally came up with something that worked reliably late in the third game - I turkeyed the 10th to finish with a 149 (which was also good enough to seal a Fotios-esque victory). I usually struggle on well-oiled lanes, so I think my League prospects are looking up; we'll see if I can maintain a consistent approach when I go bowling again on Thursday.
I'm very much looking forward to the weekend. With the thing Shmitty's doing on Friday and the Champagne Party on Saturday, it should be the most fun I've had in a while.
