(no subject)
Popping in to wish everyone on my flist a Happy New Year.
I realized it's been ten days since I've been on line , and as much as I needed the break , I missed you a lot.
We left on Wednesday 21st and spent a whole week at my parents' s home , with my brother , his wife and their little boy and girl , and with my sister and her two children. We had a lovely Christmas , without so much snow but very cold and gorgeous weather . I was still tired from my pneumonia , and I think i'm just starting to fully recover from the sickness.
I have the kindest and most loving parents , and it did me good to be close to them for a while.
Added to my tiredness , I had a stressful week ; one of my cousin , a twenty years old boy , who happens to be a sweetie , was diagnosed with leukemia. As you can imagine , it's the kind of news that leaves you numb and aching. But today the doctors are really hopeful to save him.
Yesterday I went to Paris to visit him , he's amazingly strong, my sweet Paul.
So back at home since Tuesday afternoon , I've been ignoring LJ, I got moody , anxious , and uncommunicative. Used my free time to think , and count on all the blessings , all the good and sad things that happened . But today my spirits are higher .
And I got so many marvelous cards from you all!
I want to give special hugs to several people.
beanbeans , who is a sweetheart , but everyone knows it by now ! Thank you so much for your words of comfort .

It's snowing this afternoon , and it's freezing cold.. I hope everyone had a great Holiday and a nice Christmas, with laughter and chocolate. :)
