Christ, who would have thought that online shopping could be so stressful?
Anyway, I now have a big gap in my savings where (hopefully) a Panasonic NV-GS500B should appear to fill the gap either tomorrow or the day after.
This is coupled with a carrying case, 5 tapes and a spare battery.

Here's an odd thought I thought of today:
If two people got shot in the head by, say, an arrow, and these people were identical apart from the fact that one had a hair (of the average sort) and one didn't, who would be better off?
At first I thought the guy with hair because it would soften the blow and mean less damage to the skull/brain, but then I thought the hair trapping the arrow and also being imbedded in the skull could do similarly bad damage.
