On saturday I spent the entire day with Ed- we filmed a mini russian-curse-type film, which, I am told, looks like very good footage.
In addition, I am going to go and buy my camera THIS WEEK. I took some final looks on the internet yesterday and found the same model with extras for up to £400 cheaper!
Instead of £949, I am now spending around £650 on the camera with bit- probably another £70 on a tripod, I am much happy about this- it means I can probably buy a decent phone (mine has the original snake on it and struggles with the number 4). If I'm clever I might go for an MP3 player/phone combined so I don't have to fork out for one of those as well.
We got shown how to work the school's professional cameras today- I keep forgetting how small they are. The tripod is truly awesome and I get to play with it all on my own after lunch tomorrow. I am really unimpressed witht he other members of my media studies class in terms of their knowledge (or lack of). I don't often stroke my ego, but I think that I could say that I had a better clue than most people I was surrounded by- to the extent that I ended up being impatient with the 'Can you turn the camera when it's on the tripod?' questions.
