A day in the life of couples calling-in

Jul 31, 2006 21:21

Poy & I barely slept last night... thanks to the power of green tea.. When we woke up today, he suggested calling-in which is not him at all. I did not heed at first, since I am running my department by myself since Carla resigned. After taking a bath, I realized that
the call-off will never be legitimate (it's not as if I was drunk last night & can't go to bed) but my husband's request is more important to me than the files, so he succeeded.
It was a busy call-in day for us, as the pictures show. Papa thought it would be nice to have turon so I gladly volunteered to do the wrapping. Without any adroitness in my system, I gladly assumed the role of the banana wrapper.. Papa led the assembly line cutting the bananas & Poy & myself took turns wrapping. As you might expect, the wrappers did not stay in place. Years of kitchen practice will never improve my dexterity, but who cares? We ate it anyway!

Bottom Dollar Store is my newest bestfriend.. Where can you get a price of $1.56/lb for spare ribs? The picture above (Lean Cuisine types) are @ .89 cents each. Their prices made me so happy, it deserved a picture.
Poy ended our day by making his famous smoothie.. He is a smoothie-junkie.. he makes smoothie a breakfast routine for us.. ranging from cherry banana, strawberry mango, blueberry banana to the absurd flavor of kiwi & peaches, which is a puke-fest, if you ask me.
It was a calling-in, off, what have you, well-spent. Very easy on the wallet but the day brought us tons of happiness.
