really glad i am doing something spontaneous with joel. we haven't had quality "alone time" for such a long time. the last time was probably after our wedding day. we spent a night at sonya's garden and that was great, but it was way too short. we had to rush back to manila to prepare for our flight back to singapore the next day ( Read more... )

yayyyy scored a round trip plane ticket to HK at $833 via AirNZ (not the best airline in the world, but will do)! i am HK bound in november. must remember to get my passport from NZIS when the time's nearer. hopefully we have our documents back by october. i can't wait! will make my list of things to get soon! yay shopping!

joel and i managed to arrive in hong kong in one piece after the disaster that was thai airways. as soon as we landed, we couldn't wait to bust out of the plane - we've been on three planes for more than 17 hours combined and pressurised cabin wreaks havoc on my skin. i was just happy to be back on land- i'm sick of flying!

We finally set foot in Italy yesterday, starting with a five-hour drive from Lucerne to reach Milan. We had a few minutes to take photos at Lake of Lucerne and we also fed the swans/ducks with bread that our tour leader stole from the hotel restaurant.  We also got to visit the lion monument (Löwendenkmal/Sleeping Lion) which pays ( Read more... )

visiting mount titlis was a lot more fun than jungfraujoch. we left interlaken about 8:20am and arrived in mt. titlis around 9am. the view was amazing! switzerland don't seem to be running out of mountains- everywhere you go they're full of them. weather was also beautiful- it was sunny and we had clear skies.

We just came back from going up the Top of Europe (aka Jungfraujoch) and it was mad tiring.  More on this later.

We arrived at Interlaken yesterday after a four-hour trip from Tasch. Apparently our bus captain made a wrong decision and we arrived at Interlaken probably an hour later than the ETA. Before making our way to Interlaken, ( Read more... )
