okay- there are lots to talk about what happened during our big day, but isn't it nicer when you have photos to show? don't think we'll get our photos soon though- jayson's CD may arrive in october whilst mimi's probably two weeks after the wedding (but don't quote me on that).
like what i've said in my previous post, i woke up at 6am that day (have trouble sleeping when the sun's up and the room's bright). but i had a nice sleep- the night before i had a full body scrub and massage done at sonya's spa. it was relaxing! i got back around 945pm in my room and conked out by 1030pm.
soon as i woke up- freshened up and tried to recall the steps for our first dance. i did that for a good 30 minutes but couldn't remember much especially the last part of the dance. so i gave up, went to grab breakfast (but didn't eat much, boohoo). halfway through enjoying my food, i saw a few people holding bouquets heading towards our room. i was a bit surprised because the arrangements were pink! well as long as they didn't make my bouquet pink, it should be alright.
the arrangements were really lovely- although some flowers looked really parched and about to wilt. : ( my mom thought the flowers were very nice. what i loved about april and karen's arrangements was they were done tastefully, but my bouquet was huuugeee! a few suppliers thought it was too big for my frame and suggested that april remove a few flowers to make it look smaller. you can see the difference from jayson's and mimi's photos when they come out.
veluz thought my make-up and hair were done really well. she particularly liked how jerry fixed my hair, especially the fringe. it was clean and very lady-like. the placement of the hairpiece was very sweet. my make-up was very light- i loved it. cherry went for the natural look which would go nicely with the garden-themed wedding. i thought so too.
my gown! one of the highlights of the wedding- a lot of people commented on how gorgeous it was. it was actually a carmela sutera original but veluz tweaked it so well i think i like her design hundred times better than the original designer's.
(carmela sutera)
jayson arquiza and richard buan were the first photographers to arrive in my room at sonya's. and they were the reason why i had a big smile plastered on my face- they were goading me to smile real widely and i couldn't help but laugh at them.
next which came were geronimo's team. they were an OK bunch, couldn't complain since videography was not in my priority list. although they were obtrusive and wanted me to act out really cheesy scenes and i really felt weird doing them. acting girly is so not me.
my coordinator came around 1045am and immediately went to work. i didn't even see my main coordinator until the ceremony and just assigned one girl to help me. and i'm so glad an assistant was there with me the whole time! couldn't think what might have happened had i not got a coordinator!
last came were mimi and karl. they first went to joel's prep place at canyon woods before coming to mine. they were super unobtrusive- i am not kidding. they were silently doing their thing, then when we saw their onsite photo slideshow at the reception, i was totally blown away. i loved the photos (even though i was in my most unpoised moments, keber).
i loved that i was not told to pose beside my gown and fiddle with my bridal things because that's so not me. if photos show that next time, that was not because of M&K or Jayson/Richard, it's the videographer's fault. hehehe.
i was supposed to wear a bright yellow dress for my prep then changed my mind and went for a grey knit top but couldn't wear that too since Jerry was afraid it may get caught in my hair. so i just wore my dark blue $12 jacket which i got from "this fashion". sosyal noh!? hehehe. jerry suggested to wear a robe but i didn't want to. robes are so corny. so don't care if i wore something ugly in my photos.
then i changed into my dress around 115pm, veluz was there to help me. and that was the fun part- mimi and veluz were great to be with- super nakakatawa! i enjoyed that bit during my prep. mimi was fun to talk to, she keeps on talking without telling when she's shooting. galing noh, multi-tasking! hehehe. karl, on the other hand, is the silent type. he doesn't talk much and rarely reacts to things- he mostly keeps to himself. but he's a nice guy. :)
will post part two soon... (daming kelangang ikwento e!)
