When the hell did my OTP become such a joke to you that you openly mock each and every person who ships it?  Why is it that EVERY TIME I USE A GODDAMN ZUTARA ICON I get comments like, "Oh, I'll try not to think less of you because of your choice in ships."

::can't help but snerk at some of that:: Man, who is hating on Zutarians? I haven't noticed anything but honestly the most I pay attention to anymore is caps_zutara and caps_atla. Actually, this is pretty much the reason I avoid most of it... I get caught up in this stuff pretty easily if I let myself. BRING ON THE TEN MINUTE ZUTARA MAKE-OUT SESSIONS! BWAHAHAHA!

I don't know about katara_zuko... do they have anything against swearing? You could link to the post from a katara_zuzu or even a caps_zutara entry though. Or for k_z you could put a warning for ranting/swearing.

It's actually partically caps_atla that's I'm pissed at. So many different people keep posting shit that openly-bashes Zutara and it ticks me off that they don't even bother to, I dunno, WARN PEOPLE? And any zutarians who comment are automatically ganged up against. It's really overly-annoying.

I've contacted a mod at katara_zuko, so as soon as one of them gets back to me I'll know for sure.

I'm kinda afraid to post it to capstara because of all the wank that's been going on their recently. I'm afraid this may not be lulz enough to satisify some people. Maybe if I write some hardcore porn? Not until after finals, though. GOOD GOD DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE?! Geez...

I just wanted to say FINALLY, someone said it. Thank you! :heart: I know exactly how you feel. I never really cared if it became canon. I'd be disappointed, but I'd deal. Zutara fanfics and fanart kick more ass than others, anyway, but the constant disrespect is enough to make any sane fan just want to see it happen out of sheer spite. mmmm...for sheer language content, I'd probably say you should post a link but not post the actual rant at k_z. 'cause while I agree muchly with you (although I live in the Zutarian corner of the fandom anyway and so don't have to deal with people raining on my parade), the potential for us to end up with huge bashing fits on k_z seems rather high. And it's probably something we want to keep off the comm's official records, 'cause, y'know, people will just use it against us. :-\

As a fan who is mostly Avatar fan first and pairing fan second, I think I try to stay pretty fair and reasonable. But damn, it is getting irritating. Even though I don't trust the Avatar Staff with canon romances (count me amongst the few who don't like Sukka) and thinks that Zutara might get the better end of the stick should it remain in fanon, I'm feeling that same sentiment of "I didn't care about whether or not Zutara was canon before, but the more you people yap, the more I'm starting to care."

But what annoys me more is that Mike and Bryan single out the Zutara fandom time and again (like that toonzone interview). Maybe at one time, the attention seemed like a compliment but now it just feels like they are feeding the flames.

And all in all, it kinda sucks.

J.K Rowling is a wonderful story teller, but she completely messed up the development of Ginny/Harry by making him fall for her at the drop of a hat. I wouldn't have mind if she spent more time with him before he started having feelings for her.

A little off-topic, but I totally agree with the above comment. And I was a Harry/Ginny shipper from Book One. :P It was the right romance but poorly executed.
