Dear God Well and Truly Time for an Update
Not really very good at this writing thing am I...
Ok...Kathy says people are getting bored of hearing about me going skiing all the time...well, that's pretty much all I've been doing on the weekends. So far I've done 6 days of downhill and 6 days of cross-country since I've been in Norway, interspersed with various activities of the partying kind. Last weekend skiied to a students cabin in the forest for a party...weekend before that went to Ål (about 3 hrs out of Oslo) to ski and party with kiddies from Bergen (another city/university)...before that, few weekends of learning to x-country. All good.
Off to London for easter but suddenly found myself without accommodation. Will need to remedy this very soon.
Hospital is generally keeping me busy, but today found myself in the unusual situation of being on the neonatal ward and having seen all the patients...never had that happen before (not the being on the neonate ward...not many of those at the repat...)
Went to Hollmenkollen (famous ski jump in Oslo) yesterday for the final event of the Ski Jump world cup. A good day for Finland: their champion won the ski jump and another finn won the kombinert (nordic combined: a ski jump and a 7.5km x-country sprint) ... and I'm studying med with his brother, so that was cool...
Weather here is generally pleasant enough, at the ski jump was -7 and quite nippy but has been up around 0 most days, little while ago got to...oh say 5 or 7 which was enough for me to wear just a t-shirt.
