In other news:
While watching the Preliminary mates (in the last stage) of the Chuunin Exams, I happily noted that Lee is voiced by the same person who voices Davis from Digimon; also, Shino is voiced by none other then DEREK STEPHEN PRINCE!! (Spaz!Spaz) Who also plays Ken from Digimon, and Ishida from Bleach.
Have you even had those moments when you recognize a brief snippet of a song as being identical to another song - usually the opening chords? This isn’t the first, nor will it be the last, but my first example has to do with Yu-Gi-oh! 5D’s, the new series.
Now it bugged me for a while after hearing the ending theme, where I’d heard the opening. After watching up to episode 6 it hit me: it’s the same as the opening sequence of ‘Boys of Summer’. I was wondering why I found it strange when he started singing in Japanese…
It was almost as amusing as the time I was watching a documentary on the Third Reich and recognized the opening chords of a trumpet fanfare as being the same as the opening to The Emperor’s Theme in Star Wars. (How appropriate…) XD
I was just watching an episode of Rockman.EXE (The one with Airman) and I realized the background music was similar (or the same as) the music you hear in the background of an old 80’s series/movie. That same techno-style usually used to portray sci-fi type action scenes.
…Yeah, that’s sad that I recognize these things. What’s even worse is that I think I realized this so quickly because I’ve been watching the old cartoon ‘Droids’. XD We used to own ‘The big Heep’ on video, and watched it a lot. (I was about 3 or so when it came out -_-;;)
