Okay, I love my country [New Zealand] it’s a wonderful, beautiful place, and the people are fab. Unfortunately the people are also… well, for lack of a better word, helpless.
Not only do we rely on a rather corrupt government to make all our decisions for us, we also have little to no sense when it comes to governing our own lives.
Now the Government [parliament] is only allowed to govern within the limits of the country itself. This means when it comes to self, family and church government they are overstepping their bounds. So when families become messed up and corrupt, the first thing we look for is where the government was in it.
In the past two days we’ve been told about the reinforcing of a ‘no smacking’ policy. Bullocks. Basically parents are not allowed to discipline their children.
I’m sorry but a toddler cannot be sat down and explained to that what he/she has done is wrong. There needs to be some form of physical force behind it, otherwise the child will have no idea what is being asked of it. Some teenagers are the same, I’m afraid.
Next we’re being told about the Dole. Now this is something that gets me really mad when it comes to the government. They’re literally paying us more then we can earn with a normal job, in a week, so that we become reliant on them the same why an addict relies on cigarettes.
People should only apply for the Dole if they are between jobs, or physically/mentally unable to work. A lot of people who are on the dole are merely lazy. I know one family where my Dad’s friend could not earn enough in his work for his wife and five kids, where as it would be easier to go on the Dole.
He is now starting his own business, and looks a heck of a lot better then when he was working. *Cheers*
A friend of mine, who is still in school, informs me that, when asked what they want to do when they grow up, they answered: play rugby and/or be on the Dole. *Screams* Good Golly! These are 10 year olds I’m talking about!
Some kids are given free education, but spend all day being insufferable little pricks. They come to school starving and if asked if they were fed last night, reply they went to KFC or McDonalds and ‘had a feed’. *Puking noises*
The African in me wants to hit someone…
G’night E’rybody!
