Brain Pending...

Jul 08, 2006 23:14

You know your in trouble when you have a sudden, violent urge to stab your own head in an attempt to make your brain shut up...
It's hardly my fault of course, being visual-spacial and a genius. Basically my brain works five times fast then everyone elses and I have the annoying habit of talking to fast (Therefor stuttering and sluring) in an attempt to catch up with my own thought process.
This in itself isn't the problem either. Far from it...
Whenever I'm ill my brain is still working at it's 'normal' speeds, while the rest of me is shutting down. This leaves me with a restless mind and nothing to do, due to lack of energy. Its worse when - like now - I have stomach pain and migraine headachs (Meaning I get dizzy when I stand up after sitting down for too long, which I was doing to stop my stomach hurting). This is annoying due to my brain, working too much, causing the headach to get worse. I can't even move because of the rest of it.
Here's a fun fact: because my brain refuses to shut up until I pass out, I have been known, not to sleep, but to take short naps during the night. As a fun side-affect I constantly look stoned and wander about like a drunkard, earning my reputation as a living zombie. (Go, me)
Of course, it's always fun to talk to someone with less then normal brain speeds (Or a child) because then I'm off somewhere near the middle of the book, while they're still trying to read the title. (No offence, but that's what it feels like) As a result I'm somewhat nervous of children. (Do not get me started on babies)
Anyway...
I spend my time (When I'm ill) watching movies, doing puzzles (Like in the magazines) and reading. This doesn't help my headaches or anything, but my brain slowly shuts down. What's really annoying is that when it does shut down, it takes me two or three days to turn it on again.
Whenever my sister or I was sick (When we still went to school) we used to watch the movie Ladyhawk. Somehow it always made us feel better. (We told this to our friends while we were watching it, and they were somewhat horrified XD) As for today? I watched Godzilla and then went out with the family to watch the new Pirates of the Carribbean. Yes, I'm still sick. (:/)

I'm going to leave now, I've stopped making sense... yesterday. >_<
G'night E'rybody
