as the title might suggest, this entry will be my best attempt at an "alex entry."
i went to the tokyo quarantine office today. and no, not because i have the bird flu or any other contagious disease. i went to get a shot for yellow fever, since i'm going to africa next week. after thinking about it, the idea of me getting a yellow fever shot is very very humorous. yeah yeah yeah...laugh it up. :P
anyway, on any other day the trip would have been fun and i would have taken my time around the area because the office is in Odaiba, a man made island that was once a landfill. may sound gross, but it is now the home of the fuji television office, a ferris wheel, trendy shopping and is decked with christmas lights all year. but, i made the error of wearing new boots. oh, fashion is painful.
and well, i just got stuck in the arm! i'm not up for sightseeing!
on my way home, strategically using the elevator at the station, i saw this sign:

gotta give it to 'em. always trying to make more time. crazy japanese.
i've got a lot to do before leaving for africa next wednesday, so i wish there were 25 hours in a day, but for now, my arm hurts and my feet hate me. but i'm going to africa to see my best friend, so it all works out! :)
