Of course, she cornered me when I wasn't ready.
I told her I heard she was spreading rumors, and what they were, and Crazy wanted to go into an office and talk about it. I told her, "No, I'm busy", probably three times. She tried to turn it around on me and make me sound like I'm being a child because I won't discuss it with her...but really, I was shaking because I was so angry. I know it would turn into a yelling match, which won't help me professionally.
So crazy stomped off and said she'd take it up with L (our supervisor). Funny, since that was my plan all along.
Of course, she (crying her eyes out) immediately goes to QA, who then sends an IM to K, asking what she told me. K played dumb, and called me.
Funny how when the tables are turned, Crazy all of the sudden is the "bigger person" who never said anything. Whatever.
Will be a long few days. Guessing she'll be too freaked to wait and will pull our partners into it and try to have a sit down. As long as someone's there, I'll lay it out for all to see.
How many rants can I write in a week? This may be a new record.
EDIT: About an hour after all of this went down, QA showed up at my desk and congratulated me on my promotion. Can anyone say cover your ass?
