Grrr... Internet just froze on me, and I lost my entry. Pardon me while I attempt to reconstruct it.
So I saw RotK with Park SF today. It was fun. I made some commentary, but nothing too inappropriate.
Also, I got another tutoring job. Go me!

So, I got 4.0s in both my math classes, which I was expecting and felt I earned. I wouldn't have been disappointed with a 3.7 in Number Theory, but I bet Tai gave everyone a 4.0.
I got a 3.3 in Computer Science, but Dave sent out an e-mail explaining his grading rationale and the statistics on all the grades for the semester. He said that the class average was a 3.24, which he described as "high by my standards," so I'm not upset with a 3.3. Furthermore, he told me that I got the second highest grade in the class on the final, and I got an 81%, so it was a hard final. This is the prof that the summer research is with, so I'm glad that I did pretty well in the class.
The one grade I was sort of disappointed with was the 3.3 in French. I was pretty much on the borderline between a 3.3 and a 3.7 for the semester, and I knew that it would all come down to the final paper. I thought I did a decent job on the paper, but what do I know? I think I'm going to e-mail Koffi and ask him to mail me my final paper with his comments. Then again, Koffi is a pretty hard grader, and maybe he just rounded down. Oh well.
I'm sure the French department is going: "Why is this student a French minor?" On my transcript, I have one 3.0 and three 3.3s (my four lowest grades). Three of those grades are from French classes (though I did get a 4.0 in my last French class (a 300-level one, actually)). Fortunately, I only need one more elective for my minor. That's what happens when you get placed in 200-level French as a freshman. But it sure is bringing my GPA down.
Not that I should complain about my GPA. It's now 3.795 (down from 3.829, sadly), but I anticipate it going up Senior Year. So it's all good.
