About time...
It's about time I updated this thing with something new.. as the last one from me is ohh nearly 40 weeks ago.. :P
So, what's going on here with my life.. well as usual with any persons life.. it's the same old same old.. just in a different country is all.. it's basically work, cook dinner, eat, relax, sleep then work again.. I know it's boring isn't it.. :P
Actually the best thing about being out here is that I get to spend lots of time with my wonderful wife.. for those of you who have never married.. you should find the right person and try it sometime.. it works wonders for you.. ;)
Work recently has been a slight pain.. but things are looking up and hopefully in the next couple of weeks some things will fall into place and that would be the final step sorted for my transition to the the US.. it'd be nice to get it out of the way.. if only so we can then actually consider talking to banks about a mortgage and go house shopping.. :D
Today I am actually going to stop by the secretary of states office to see about scheduling or sitting the written part of my driving test.. I need to get my dutch license switched for a US one.. and need to sit both a theory and a practical test to do so.. now had I had a German license they would have switched it no questions asked.. but as it is I have to go through this again.. and seeing as I've had my license since 1988 or 1989 it's been nearly 20 years since I sat a tes.. it's that long ago, I don't even remember when I got it... now granted the driving style of people on the roads here is pretty bad.. so I am assuming that the tests aren't that brilliant or difficult.. but we'll see how it goes.. :D
