The joys of painting...
Tis a fair Fall morning in chilly Michigan and the home redecorating project is in full swing..

The bathroom changes have been done.. all that remains is painting.. so armed with brush and roller, it's off to paint on the primer and the first coat.. this is followed by the second coat and then two more coats of latax paint.. sounds straightforward and probably is.. however, in our bit to be efficient, we also started on the clean up of the guest room.. so, scrub the walls and ceiling clean and then whilst one coat of paint in the bathroom is drying.. apply the first coat of paint to the guest room.. *look*
Yes I can tell you know where this is going.. but I'm telling you anyway! :P
So onwards and upwards.. the painting continues throughout the day.. and sometime before dinnertime, both the bathroom and the guest room have been painted.. Now, also in the guest room is an old carpet which needed to be ripped out.. so this is what happened.. rip it up and chuck it out.. so yes it's like been a very very long day.. and we're still not done.. there's edging that the carpet was fixed to that needs to be removed from the floorboards to which it is attached... so the ripping up of things continues.. until finally at last it is all done.. * joy *
Now, I can tell you that I was very very glad to fall into bed last night, because I was very very tired and sore.. this morning I'm just stiff and sore.. but glad that things are looking much much better and that we managed to do the work that needed to be done!!!
