It's been a while since I've been around here and that's because life has been coming at me pretty fast lately. I hope that the chaos will be stifled soon. I like life better when I have time to breathe.
I did managed to post a chapter to High School Love Line on Fanfiction. net the other day. One response really pissed me off. The reader was mad at me for not posting the chapters on her time table and also got mad because chapter 11 didn't have the reunion she wanted. Well sorry but my life doesn't revolve around making that one person happy. If they are that annoyed, don't read it. I'm not forcing you to. Goodness, I'm glad that person doesn't read some of the stories I do, I've waited a lot longer for updates than a month before. And most times the chapters, while amazingly written, do take time to develop... which I enjoy. It makes the story last longer. But whatever, some people just suck.
The summer movies I've seen so far have been really good. I've watched "Green Lantern" (which I enjoyed, but heard that it didn't do well in the box office. I think Ryan Reynolds did a decent job. The humor was appreciated and I do hope that there is a sequel, although I'm not holding my breath), "Mr. Popper's Penguins" (Love Jim Carrey and this movie made me want a penguin so bad!), "Transformers: The Darkside of the Moon" (I liked it for the most part. I know a lot of people didn't, but *shrugs*. The female that replaced Megan Fox was so horrible she made Megan look like a freaking oscar winner. I was so sad by Ironhide's death. Really wish he would have survived. There wasn't much of a hard core plot, but with action movies- do you really need one?), "Thor" (LOVED IT!!!!!), "X-men: First Class" (Might have geeked out a little watching this one. It had Beast! I love Beast. The backstory got completely changed, but thats okay because the writers managed to make it work. I really loved the interactions between Charles and Magneto. Definitely worth watching)
Last night I went to see "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2".
I cried. Not going to lie. Snape's death (and his memories)- Fred's death- Remus and Tonks- It was all too much. I nearly lost it completely when Harry was talking to Remus's and Sirius's ghosts.
Ron and Hermione's kiss was so worth the wait- yes they kissed in the wrong place, yes it was completely different from the book, yes I was hoping for just a little more, but I did enjoy it.
HATE GINNY! I mean really what is her function? Luna kicked ass, Neville killed Voldermort's snake, everyone helped fight- but Ginny was completely useless. Harry really deserved better than her.
Did I mention how freaking awesome Luna and Neville were? Neville- oh how you've grown. And Luna- dang the girl is brilliant.
Draco- I had mixed feelings about him...
Voldermort's death was cinematically interesting. I wasn't disappointed in it but I know a lot of people were.
Mrs. Weasley said BITCH! LOVE IT! That was freaking awesome. Wish she would have said it after Ginny had been killed but hearing her say the word almost made up for the fact that she was protecting that whiny brat.
The ending with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Draco and their respective kids at the train station was- eh. Much like how it was in the book, I could have done with out it. I did like that the final shot was of Ron/Hermione/Harry - no Ginny, no Draco, no one but the three of them. Because at the core of it all (the movies and the books) it was about these three friends surviving, fighting, learning. Ginny might have married Harry, but his true loves were his best friends.
Oh how I'm going to miss this series. It's been such a huge part of my life for so long. And now it's just a memory. One thing I found to be really interesting and demonstrated how much these movies, these books meant to everyone- when the credits began to roll in my packed theater (which for where I live is saying something- the movie theater is never packed) the entire audience started applauding.
Working on some new icons. I'm hoping to have them done soon. It will be multiple fandom. :)
Got into a weird mood recently and started watching the old 90's daytime soap "Sunset Beach" on youtube, then started downloading torrents. Its funny how much of it I remember. It haven't seen the episodes in over ten years, but I can recall some of the diaologue and most of the situations. I was a huge Meg and Ben fan... It was the first time I saw Susan Ward (who would later play Chloe on Make it Or Break It). It's so interesting to watch these episodes because it doesn't feel as dated as it probably should...
General Hospital- I have mixed feelings about Spinelli as Jackel PI. I love his confidence. I love the fact that he makes Maxie slightly uncomfortable, but I don't like how he keeps getting pushed aside like nothing is wrong. SOMETHING IS WRONG. It's time for someone to step in.
Well I guess that's all for right now. I need to do a review of all my summer shows, but I'll do that later. *g* Have a great Saturday everyone!!
