"Spinelli, makes me believe anything is possible"- Maxie to Lulu

Jul 16, 2009 15:05

I can't really decide how I felt about today's show. I didn't really care for the writing. And honestly I just wasn't as into it as I have been for the past couple of days. Maybe I'm just coming off a "Spixie sex/karaoke" high or something. Maybe I'm just a little nervous about the turn this story is about to take. It isn't going to make me jump ship, at least not yet, I have over two years put into this couple and I'm not going to just freak out at the first sign that I won't like what I'm about to see. Having said that though...I didn't love everything I saw. Here is GH's bullet list:

  • I know this is becoming repetitive, but really: Sonny is a horrible man. Watching him act like he is God's gift to the world, watching him treat women as objects to either be obsessed over or dismissed is not attractive. And it's really disgusting to watch Olivia nearly have an orgasm over him panting and smiling in her direction. It makes me feel like I need to take a shower in bleach everytime I see it. *shudders*
  • While most days I could take Johnny or leave him, today I cheered. I come from a big Italian family and we are EXTREMELY protective of each other, so I like seeing him be protective of his sister. Yes Claudia is a cracked mirror, but who could really blame her? Her father is a freaking loon and spent her entire life tearing her down and now she is saddled with Sonny...plus she's emotionally screwed up anyway.
  • SO OVER Rebecca! Nikolas is a freaking, flipping fool. And poor Edward is getting taking in by both Michael and Rebecca. Why are they making all these characters so stupid!?! Edward didn't even accept Emily this readily. It's annoying and makes them all look like complete morons. I wish Ethan would have just told Nikolas the truth...really I wish they were gravel at Claire Coffee's feet and get her back then fired Natalia again.
  • Don't even get me started on Michael and Kristina...Can someone please send both of them somewhere or knock them both so hard they each go in another coma? Kristina is such a little bitch. I have never been AlexisFF but I'm getting sick of her teenage hoe daughter playing her so bad. "A hybrid are quiet starters, so it's easier for me to sneak out" "Better gas milage for when I'm driving without a license.." Kristina STFU!!! I will give Michael credit for hitting that guy. Now it only someone would hit him...
  • Max fainting while Diane was talking about what would be the perfect proposal was comic genius. I giggled watching him wobble and finally fall to the floor. It reminded me of those toys...only Max actually did fall down.
  • Maxie's fear of marriage made a return visit today. I'm always excited for history to be used on soaps. Hearing her discuss with Lulu her conversation with Spinelli from back in October...I think...was a great use of character/couple history. I also loved that she said with Spinelli she feels like anything is possible. It gave me a tiny thrill to know that she was actually thinking seriously about marrying Spinelli. That means that she has at least envisioned being with him forever. She even said that.
  • Maxie finally got the promotion that she has been working toward and has earned. *grin* YAY Maxie. I hate that she will use this as an excuse with Spin. Loved her reaction to Spinelli hijacking the intercom. *laughing* "Oh, this can't be good". I guess tomorrow team MaxieLu will find out what Spinelli has in store.
  • I'm anxious to see what Spinelli has planned for Maxie. It's obvious that he is completely serious about this proposal and wanting to spend the rest of his life with Maxie. It's too soon, but there is something so sweet and endearing in that...in knowing that when he gave that speech about giving his whole heart, mind, body and soul to someone in the sewer, he meant it. He gave it to Maxie. I just PRAY that she doesn't hand it back too harshly.
