Fumbling Towards Ecstasy...
"Fumbling Towards Ecstasy"...probably the most profoundly beautiful phrase that I've heard in a very long time.
So, I bought Sarah McLachlan's "Afterglow Live" today...and it friggin ROCKS!!!!!! It ROCKS MY SOCKS!! Like Musical orgasm here!!! I think I accidentally impregnated about 40 women while watching it. (Guess that means..."I'm the pappy."
But anyway, while I was watching the concert, it got me to thinking, you know how when your mood changes, like drastically changes, you begin to listen to different music. Like music that you love, but you've not listened to it in soooooooo long? Well, all this week, I've been listening to Sarah McLachlan, and her music just fits my mental state at the moment. She even talks about how a lot of her songs are sad and depressing, and while hearing this, I'm like, "Woa, what are you talking about, I love that song, it makes me feel soooo good inside." Absolutely amazing.
Well, this has probably been one of the best weekend I've had...dare I say it...in a very long time! Last night was first friday, so I ventured into Olde City with one of the best females God could have ever created, thats right, you guessed it, Emily "Badass" Ballas!, in search of art enrichment, and cupcakes. We got the art enrichment, but we didn't find the cupcakes. We did however get some kick ass cheesesteaks and cheese fries from "Steve's Cheesesteaks" on South Street (HEART JOSH FOR TAKING ME THERE BACK WHEN I GOT THAT HOLE PUT IN MY HEAD!!!!) Before that, we were mistaken for a couple...me and Emily, not me an Josh...PAY ATTENTION!!
After the escapades (WORD OF THE WEEK!!!!!!) in Olde City, I went over to hang with my John M, because he was sick! We ended up watching The Incredibles (FRIGGIN AWESOME MOVIE!!)
Then I got home, and to my surprise, WHAT WAS ON CARTOON NETWORK?!?!?!?? SPIRITED AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! (HEART THIS MOVIE FOREVER!!!!!!!!) I unfortunately fell asleep, but oh well!!
So now here I am, happy and full (just got 10 wings from Ed's...didn't last 30 mins.)
So...here are some people from my "friends list" that are like my favorite people right now, and here are the reasons! (in no particular order...which could be considered a particular order, but its not):
Emily "Badass" Ballas: We are like the same person, we even want the same colors in out apartment!! Such a cooley awesome girl (words cannot describe how cool she is! Its like a God experience being in the presence of her coolness!) AND shes one cat that isnt afraid to talk about...The Sex™.
Garrett McKenna: Some people just know what to say when it really needs to be said. And sometimes they say something that just has the most positive impact on you, that it just completely changes your mood and outlook on life, and sometimes they don't even know they had that affect on you. You're a good friend!
Josh "The Sank" Sanky: Josh is cool because he's not afraid to tell you how he feels...or what he's doing to himself...
Mike "Eddy" Tomasetti: My first g_y friend @ Drexel!!!!!! AND A BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES FAN!!!!! And, just an all around cool guy!!!!
Briggers-Angelica: Because of the Chocolate, Vanilla, quater-bananas, swallowing, and the sucking of the clitoris by the lesbian facebook! I love Briggers-Angelica!
