Oh Em Gee. That warranty is so void.
A notice to all of you who own iSight iMacs (G5 or Intel). Never, ever, undertake a hard drive (or optical drive) replacement yourself. I've taken apart every iteration of the iMac, most Powerbooks, the Cube, and all the PowerMacs case types. Never, ever, has one been as so poorly conducive to upgrading. Ironically the original G5 iMac was by far the most user serviceable one they ever made. I really, really, really hope they quickly change this. If I were an (official) Apple tech I would be pretty pissed at the design team.
It sure is a nice machine from the outside though! And now I've many more hundreds of gigs of storage.
(oh, and my new replacement TV arrives tomorrow. Just in time for the Stanley Cup finals - in High Def!)
