Rain... Lightning... Pop!
Hmm... so that was one impressive lightning storm here tonight. I watched the pretty lightning for awhile, went back to the hockey match. It didn't occur to me that those thunder claps sounded REALLY close. Until something *popped*. And then 15 seconds later something at the other end of the house *popped*. I hurriedly started turning off my computer and pulling plugs, but alas...
There would be no watching Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals for me. Nope. My TV is toast.
Which kind of works out, I'd been joking about upgrading. staxsoulkid has been aggressively pushing the wonders of HD on me. So yeah. I guess I'm buying a new TV. Anyone got any hookups?
And yes, next time I'll remember to put a fancy ass surge protector on my electronics (obviously the computer already had one, but who thinks about the TV?).
