(no subject)
I've opened and now I'm closing, the only person in my department for the day because my co-worker called in sick. The assistant manager is "in meetings" all day (whatever that means), and my manager is on leave. No one else in the store is trained to work in my department because of the highly specialized nature of the job. I was afraid I wouldn't get so much as a break (because no one else would be able to help customers), but fortunately there was a girl working in the store who used to work in my area so she was able to give me an hour break. Praise God for that. But I'm running pretty low on steam and I still have two hours to go. The Cherry Coke isn't doing too much, and I'm pretty much chained to my desk for the remainder of my time here.
