DVDs, VCRs, and other electronic 3 letter things
I finally figured out how to use my DVD player. I've had it hooked up for about five months now, but never got it working... I'm not really incompetant, more apathetic. I didn't have and DVDs to watch anyway. So I hadn't seen Finding Nemo. I watched it last night. I really appreciate those who write cartoons. It takes a special kind of genius to write for both kids and adults simultaneously. Remember when you were a kid and would run out on Saturday morning to watch cartoons. Remember the old Bugs Bunny WWII propaganda cartoons? They were loaded with jokes only adults would get but as a kid you still watched. Think about the Simpsons. They're not just for kids nor are they just for adults. It's briliant.
I put new bells and reward tags on bewits and the bewits on the birds yesterday. I'm happy as a clam having five big longwings. There's nothing like walking into the hawk yard and seeing your smallest bird being a peregrine teircel. No kestrels here. My biggest bird isn't the largest bird I've flown, but she's one of the biggest longwings I've ever seen. she flies at 1230 grams....That's 2 pounds eleven and a half ounces. That's a damn big falcon. I've flown smaller red tailed hawks that I was pretty sure were females, speaking of wich trapping season is just around the corner. I've been working on my B.C. trap. It should be a good year. I'm hoping for a hard winter aswell.
