So it's been a god couple of weeks, more or less. The two new birds, that I flew back from Seattle, both fed off the glove properly yesterday. The female is still real batey but recovers nicely. The male still bates and hangs. They are both hooding just fine. My other two tiercels have really screwed up thier feathers such that I may not be able to fly them this season. I'm hoping they'll moult even if it is a bit late to moult. I hate imping wings....especially on a tiercel....it's hard to judge length and damn near impossible to get needles and feather shafts that size. Besides, they never last. Flying just puts too much stress on a wing. My GyrX Saker hen is ready to go, though. She's going to be incredible this year. I'm making space in the frezzer for all the ducks she'll kill this year.
On other subjects, I've been going out less. I worked the jewelry show again last weekend. Saw an old childhood friend, Brooke Carlson. It was sort of nice to catch up on al the old friends from grade school. She's still in touch with all of them. Most of these folks I haven't seen since high school...so that a dozen years now.
I've worked on a few little projects, made some gear, designed my sign and goten the layout done.. boring stuff realy, but I got to play with the super oversize copier at kinko's last night...the one that will make blue brints and make copies of stuff five feet wide and 500 feet long if you want. Nifty!
