Ri-Ras

I'm sitting in Ri-Ra's in Killarney - and I hate to say it -but the place could use a make-over, but still, I love typing from here. I actually had to log on and do work today in Killarney! When will it leave me alone!

I never got a chance to write about Thursday - but it went wonderfully. We started off with a corporate visit to the Hilton in Limerick. Woo-hoo, that place is beyond nice. I want to stay there now, but I can't afford it! Two of the staff showed us around and shared their marketing know-how with all of us. It was truly a delightful trip - and my very first company visit that I booked.

Afterwards, several of us headed to Blarney Castley - a place I never intended to go, but I'm glad I did. I didn't climb to the top to kiss the stone - the whole process sounded a bit much - especially the hanging over the edge and kissing a wall that Goddess knows what has been done to it - but the castle and the grounds were beautiful. There was a 'rock close' that had a circle and dolmen - unfortunately, we thought it was close (only the back door was), and I did not get to see it. This means another trip to Blarney the next time I come on my own to Ireland.

We met the group up for dinner - all of us again, which was very nice - and all compared notes about the second half of our day.

Spent the evening in a pub called The Bank - where some of the most entertaining audience participation happened. I'll have to leave the details to a later time (as I've got to go pay for our tour tomorrow), but I was on the floor laughing.

Love to all back home...
