My weekend

Mar 05, 2006 20:25

I have had like, the laziest weekend ever. I went to see two houses yesterday, they weren't suitable- the first one was GORGEOUS but it was too far away and the second one was too old- I mean, I would have had to had double glazing put in, new carpets, strip all the wallpaper, put a shower in plus more, and I don't have the funds to do that. So Dad ( Read more... )

Definitely season 3. Why- because I'm a HUGE C/A shipper and this season just brought out the beautiful relationship that they had developed. Also, it's the last season before they started messing about with the characters- as much as I adored the S4 arc with evil Cordy, I do feel like they took everything away from her with the whole "everything she's done, she's done because Jasmine made her do it" thing. Plus, baby Connor, so cute!

OK, favourite character in the Buffyverse and why.

:o) I didn;t like season 4 much at all :/. I haven;t seen 5 yet, partly because I just haven't managed to (I didn't watch Angel when it was still on T.V!), partly due to Spike being 'resurrected' - I object, he had a hero's death and it seems convoluted and disrespectful to bring him back to life. And because the world of Buffy will finally be finished for me, no more new stuff. I can't let go, yeah, yeah it's sad I know.
Hmmm that is a hard question, but I'll go with Spike. I think he gets some of the funniest lines, he has a fascinating history, he's a Vampire :P, I love that he's cynical and makes mistakes (I can relate), he's really a daggy romantic at heart (again I relate!) and I love the journey and development of his character throughout Buffy. Plus, hero's death and he's easy on the eye...;)
So who's yours?

I agree about the Spike coming back thing, it kind of negated his sacrifice. Him and Angel were quite funny in S5 though. I've seen it, IMO it only got good towards the end of the season.

My favourite character is Cordelia. I love her. In Buffy, she's the perfect counter to Buffy, and I love the way she gets sucked into their world without really wanting too, but again deep down she likes being there because she's not "alone in a crowd" anymore. And then when she went over to Angel, she added so much to the show- a lightness,a bit of comedy and a feminine part to Angel's masculinity. Her evolution from a lightheaded, cheerleading popular girl into a respectful young woman is brilliantly done, and yeah, I just love her!

OK, uhm, favourite Angle episode?

*accio brain* I need to learn to edit properly :/
I have heard that season 5 Angel is pretty good, especially with the interaction between Spike and Angel (I can only imagine :P)
I really like Cordelia as well, I love her on Buffy but mostly in season 1 and 2 Angel. She's not as bitchy as on Buffy, she's developing into someone deeper but is still incredibly funny and just, well Cordelia.
Fave Angel episode? That's hard! I've only seen seasons 1-4 once each, other than 2 which I am currently re-watching. I like it when they go into Lorne's world and I think 'Waiting in the Wings' the ballet one in season 3 is awesome? I love the atmosphere and the Cordy and Angel nearly getting togetherness ;).
I can answer it for Buffy though, 'Once More with Feeling' and 'Restless'. How about your fave Buffy and fave Angel episodes? And which character do you think you're most like :P?

Fave Buffy episode: Tabula Rasa. To me this has everything that I love about Buffy in it. It takes the piss out of itself, it's funny, it's got fighting and it's got kissing. And the ending is just heart-wrenching and it just gets me every every time. I'm so amazed that it can do that.

Angel: I'm not sure I really have one favourite episode. A Hole in the World (from S5) was an amazing episode. I do love Birthday though. Obviously because it's Cordelia centric, and to me it's a big turning point for her character- she gives up everything she ever wanted because Angel was in pain, and to all the people who continue to say that she is still the same spoiled brat she was in Sunnydale, they NEED to watch this episode properly. Plus, the kiss! Woo!

I think I'm most like Willow, actually. Or, I was more like Willow was when she was in school. Shy, bit of a geek. With a nasty streak that's well hidden but I know one day it will come out and it's not gonna be cool!

Hmm...favourite Harry Potter book?

Tabula Rasa is an incredibly close 2nd to my Once More with Feeling and Restless tie. It is so damn awesome. My fave memory is of making a friend watch that and Omwf at 3am when we ate so much strawberry liquorice that we didn't go to sleep until 3pm that day lol.
I'd have to go with 'Prisoner of Azkaban. I really enjoyed the story, I love Sirius and Buckbeak, the Dementor's were bloody scary and it's when the story starts getting darker and more complex, it's a step up from PS and CoS. I also love OotP.
You?
And I was most like Jonathan at school, the nerdy one who got teased a lot :/. Plus throw in some Buffy for the rescue complex I have :o).
