Suppose you had a fast food stand in a large University… Say the UW. Wouldn’t the most logical course of action involve actually OPENING the place sometimes? So maybe people who were hungry could go in and get some food. And as a perfect compliment, you’d get to make some money. What the hell is wrong with that idea? As near as I can tell there are only three places on this campus where they’ve gotten the idea. 1101, Subway, and Pagliacci. EVERYTHING else seems to close just as people might want to actually buy something from them. I have yet to come into the hub and find Firecracker open. Luckily the store facades in the HUB are fairly attractive so they’re not too bad to just look at, even though they have the potential to make some good food. By George on the other hand is ugly, and never open. I’ve gotten a burger there a couple of times, but 90% of the time they have that stupid gate down and are not serving food. What’s the great plan here? A gigantic waste of space? MAYBE they should actually try selling some damn food from time to time. Anyway, I think maybe some of the management of these places should take the opportunity and get in a couple of business classes in their ample time off from actual work.
