Cheesecake Recipe

This recipe is incredibly yummy.
For my records, I'm putting it in here.
Feel free to try it!

Cheesecake

Crust:
1 ½ cup graham cracker crumbs
¼ cup butter
2 Tbsp sugar
Press into pie pan or square pan.

Filling:
11 oz. cream cheese
½ cup sugar
½ tsp vanilla
1 egg (optional)
Beat until smooth. Pour over crust. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°.
Cool for 45 minutes.

My family has used a very similar recipe for a long time....I wonder who (and why!) first thought to add sour cream.

It's brilliant! It makes for such a yummy topping!
I don't even need fruit on top of it. I eat it plain.
(I will eat fruit on top of it but not pie filling, too syrupy.)

I know! I would never think to put pie filling on top of cheesecake.

A lot of people do it.
I think it ruins the integrity of the cheesecake not to use fresh fruit. Well, frozen fruit is okay. But syrupy fruit?...
