On Saturday, the UL Irish Studies kids went to Limerick to St. Mary's Cathedral, King John's Castle, and Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. It was pretty neat.
After a bit, Paul and I went to the pub at Folk Park for a beer. I got a Smithwick's and he got a Guinness. I finished mine pretty quickly (delicious!), and he only finished half of his. I said I could help him maybe with half of what was left. Well, turns out I chugged the entire half pint in five seconds.
I have class again at 14:00 (2:00 pm).
Running around and climbing the castle stairs at Bunratty made me go back to my little kid exploration days. Too bad some people were moving so slowly and all scared of someone else being in the small stairway. I moved very quickly through it.
But, I guess I'm not afraid of that shit.
Folk Park was like old school farms (animals and gardens included) and towns. Very Pretty.
One of the scenes was up on a hill, with a garden; that's the foreground.
In the background was a hill.
It prompted me to blurt out, "Oh my God, that's fucking beautiful!"
A woman about 30 meters ahead of me turned around and looked and I said, "Sorry."
She said (in her accent), "It's quite alright. I had the same thought."
Pictures will come later.
