Assessments were this morning, and it took me one hour (out of the two) to write the exams.
I'm glad to have it over with.

The farewell barbecue is tonight at Nancy Blake's (downtown Limerick).
I still have 25 euro to spend.
Tomorrow morning the plane leaves for London.
We are going to do sightseeing and see Big Ben and all that stuff.

I'm feeling pretty good today, but still excited to go home soon.
Assessments are tomorrow. I'll have two essays to write.

I was excited to read about Santana's and Joe Mauer's performances yesterday! I watched a couple replays.

Blarney was very neat, and, yes, I kissed the Blarney Stone.
The Distillery was nice, too.
I was a whiskey taster.
It was my first time having whiskey, and I fucking loved it!
I also outdrank the other three.

Yesterday in my class we watched the film "The Quiet Man." It's from the early fifties, and it was interesting to see the portrayal of women.  In that time (in the US as well as Ireland), it was perfectly acceptable to beat and drag your wife and be forceful with her ( Read more... )

The trip yesterday was really fun. 
First, we went received set dancing lessons at a hotel in Ennistymon.  
That was hard work but fun!

THen, we drove to Lahinch, which is just a few kilometers away, and saw the ocean and sat/walked around for an hour. We returned to the hotel for lunch.

So, the 45 minute tour turned into over an our tour of Honan Chapel at the University (in Cork.) The lady talked a lot, but she enjoyed it (she did her Ph. D. on this building.)  It got tiring, and I zoned out a lot. It was neat how each column had its own pattern of engraving (well, there was some duplication but in no order.)
