Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Jul 14, 2011 12:23

Hello all! It's been so long since I've posted anything on LJ :( I'm not saying I'm back for real this time because I'm a lazy ass like that, but at least I'm writing this?

Okay, so last night I watched HP7P2 with a friend of mine at TGV cinema Ipoh. Let me just say that it was the worst movie-watching experience of my life. First of all, there were buttloads of people. And these buttloads of people did everything from discussing about the movie to munching on popcorns noisily like a bunch of morons. In general, they were NOT the crowd you want to enjoy your last harry potter film with. Oh and lets not forget the smelly guy who forgot to use his deodorant. bleh.

And halfway through the film, someone messed with the projector. Fucking imbecile. 5 minutes of precious HP film lost!

I will not describe everything about the movie. I'll mostly comment on the actors. Feel free to back off now if you don't want to read spoilers. But come back once you've watched the film, and we'll spazzzz.

The verdict: AWESOME. That is if you like action more than romance. Most of the time we see Harry fighting and the rest well fighting too, but they don't get the close up do they? McGonagall was really funny. Was she supposed to develop a sense of humor in DH? I can't remember, but she's just friggin awesome.

Neville too. I've never really seen him as anything in the previous movies or even the books, but he definitely stood out in this. Might be that the director finally decided to give him more air time. Maybe too much air time? I don't know. I'm kinda pissed that Hermione and Ron didn't get to say much. hmmm.

Dumbledore, I HATE HIM. nuff said. The movie made me see him as an old fool. Much like what Snape perceived him as. A very smart old fool that is.

Hated Nagini too. FUCKING SNAKE YOU DARE KILL SNAPE?! Seeing it in the movie is more heart-wrenching than just imagining it. :((

MOLLY IS AWESOME SAUCE. KILLED BELLATRIX SHE DID!

Fred died. Very anti-climactic that.

Hagrid, he had two scenes. lol

Griphook the Goblin, too much time wasted on him. I'd rather see Nagini.

The Hogwarts Knights are so macho. I know they're bricks, but still.

Young Lily, she had brown eyes. LOL what? Dear Director, if you can't find an actress with green eyes, at least make her wear contacts.

Young Snape, is so precious. Love him.

Snape is like the driving force of this film. He appeared for a very short time, but he's Snape. He just needs a grand entrance, and all is done. Though in this case, he made a grand exit and he's done. Definitely see why everyone loves him so much despite the greasy hair and the big nose. But he did wear a lot of make up. especially those eye shadows, I was too busy admiring his make up to appreciate him. D:

I don't really care for Ginny.

Seamus = explosion

Dean = tall, dark, handsome

and all the rest of the cast who appeared for like two seconds each. The thing that I despise most is that everyone who used to be important are set aside for the grand finale, the fight between Voldemort and Harry. I mean I get it, it's titled Harry Potter after all but come on, it's the last time we'll get to see these great actors, let us connect with them for the last time. /sighs

ALBUS SEVERUS POTTER IS THE CUTEST BOY EVER. At least Ginny is good for something.

Malfoy was saved by Harry. Made a few scared faces. Then he fled. /shakes head

Luna is my favourite in the film. I don't know why.

Ron and Hermione. Although you guys barely talked in the last film, you guys were as awesome as Crabbe and Goyle in the Sorcerer's stone! Oh but Ron's proud face at the end when they were sending the kids off to Hogwarts, DORKIEST FACE EVER!

Voldemort, good job director on not making it look like such a worthless battle. It was so anti-climactic in the book. What was Rowling thinking ending it like that?

And last but not least, Harry Potter. I am in awe of Daniel Radcliffe. CLAP YOU GUYS! You are one amazing being and I will admire you for the rest of my life.

The fiendfyre is perfect!

In conclusion, it's definitely a great film. I have a few complaints but it's not bad. Not bad at all.

So I'm gonna go read the book again now, YOU GUYS GO WATCH THE MOVIE ALRIGHT?!

one more thing:

19 YEARS LATER

LOL
