With the politicians hogging the commercials on the airwaves this month, I've entirely forgotten what to wear, buy, eat, and what my priorities are. I'll be glad when I finally know how to live again, when the corporations come back on selling me detergents, and not ideas.
BTW, speaking of elections... Midterm 2002, where we elected senators last... So, I was a "Republican Challenger" which meant very little, except that I went into the ghetto and watched how the elections took place. I was threatened by a man who had no i.d. who was allowed to vote anyway, and accused of rigging the election. The only thing I did was ask why they were asking people whether they were Rep. or Dem.? since it wasn't a primary, it didn't make sense... So, I asked, they said, "So we can give people the right ballot." And, when I queried further, "democrats get this ballot, republicans this one". Uh, so, the provisional ballot was being handed to Republicans (assuming there were any in that district), while the ballots that actually count were being handed to Democrats.
When I called the Republican headquarters to report this, they asked me, "Was it incompetence or breaking the law?" Uh, I dunno, what's the difference?
