Moscow picspam! I finally found time to post it.
So, this was my institute + dormitory. It’s not the best place in the world, but I still loved it.
It’s called Государственный институт русского языка имени А. С. Пушкина aka Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
Lesson on Valentine’s Day
The Moscow Kremlin
Успенский Собор aka Dormition Cathedral
Views from the Kremlin
And here it is in all its glory.
The Entrance.
Казанский собор aka Kazan Cathedral
Спасская башня aka The Spasskaya Tower
The amazing Храм Васи́лия Блаже́нного aka Saint Basil's Cathedral. It literally takes your breath away.
Александровский сад aka Alexander Garden (Tomb of The Unknown Soldier)
The fabulous ГУМ aka GUM department store.
My favourite fragrance ever, Gucci by Gucci, was everywhere! I love it.
People eating at Sbarro (Italian food)
Манежная площадь aka Manege Square
At the centre of this square there’s a huge underground department store capped with that glass cupola.
The cupola from the inside
Restaurant “Da Marcello” , where we had the best Italian pizza in Moscow
Большой театр aka The Bolshoi theatre, which is not far from the Red Square
One of my favourite places in Moscow: Улица Нoвый Арбaт aka New Arbat Street
another shopping mall
There are lots of casinos on that street
I took the following pics on a sunny day (which was very rare in Moscow, we had 2-3 sunny days in one month).
And here is Улица Арбат aka Old Arbat Street, which is not far from New Arbat street. It’s a very touristy place, with restaurants, gift shops…Hard Rock Cafe was also there.
Московский метрополитен aka Moscow Metro. Probably the most amazing metro I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Just a few stations (the Kievskaya was my favourite):
Площадь Революции aka Ploshchad Revolyutsii metro station
Измайловская aka Izmaylovskaya metro station. It is one of only two above-ground stations in Moscow. The metro runs through the park!
Тверска́я улица aka Tverskaya Street, which can be considered as the centre of Moscow's social life.
Государственная Третьяковская Галерея aka Tretyakov Gallery
And after we visited the gallery, we had lunch at “Elki-Palki” , a nice Russian chain of restaurants.
Крымский мост aka Krymsky Bridge
And last but certainly not least, the Gorky Park! Its full name is Центральный парк культуры и отдыха имени Горького aka The Central Park of Culture and Rest
