Two things.
1. Crafty purchases. I don't know if because it's getting closer to tax time the Post Office is overwhelmed or because they've had to make cuts or what, but it's taking longer than usual to get the stuff that I ordered. And I got one package today that had drilled dominoes and mah jong tiles that I want to use for jewelry. There is supposed to be a set of 4 mah jong tiles with holes in each of the four corners, 3 dominoes with a hole in the top center, and three dominoes with a hole through the side. The dominoes with the hole through the side are fine. The holes are off center, but they seem to be straight, so that's all that matters. Of the three that should have a hole in the top center, only one has a hole even close to centered. And they sent the mah jong tiles with a hole in the top center rather than the ones with holes in the corners. The off center holes I can accept, and I've learned now that next time I want to make something with dominoes, I could buy a set of 28 for roughly the same amount, drill them myself and probably end up with three usable ones. The wrong product I will not accept, and they have been contacted about it. Also, it further pisses me off that I placed the order 13 days ago, but I was warned that shipping would take awhile anyway. It also bugs me because the site was a recommendation from a supply list in a craft book.
I do all this ordering from crafty places. I'm tempted to blog about my experiences. I shall contemplate this.
Actually, they just emailed me back and said they'd get me the right ones as soon as they got the chance and let me keep the wrong ones for the mistake. I like that. They are back on my positive list.
2. People who act like they think they can write. It bugs me that buddytv.com acts like an entertainment newsmag but can't be bothered to check facts, and they aren't really great writers. Like there was an article today about SPN asking if you're "pro or con Ghostfacers." Grr.
