So I jumped into the rabbit hole that is the Supernatural fandom. I wish I could say I was sucked, but I really got into it out of my own volition. It's a marvelously active fandom, especially considering how little there has been going on on the Holmes front, and that I never could write StarTrek, nor have I seen the second TAOS film yet, nor have I really warmed to the first one...
Anyway, somewhat predictably, Supernatural got me writing again, and I've tentatively decided to participate in a BigBang again - it's the DeanCas BigBang
deancasbigbang, if anyone is interested - they include gen fiction, which is marvelous; fair warning, though, it is predominately slash fiction (though by no means all rated NC-17). Since I really cannot write proper romance without decending into cheesiness or losing track of the characters, I will probably write a gen fic, or one that is only subtextually slash, as I've always handled it with my Holmes fiction - again, replicating the tone of the original is my main goal.
Meanwhile, I have been reposting my Friesland fic over at FF.net, and also my first Red Dwarf fic, called Dimensions. I will eventually post it here as well, but for now posting on FF.net is less of a hassle.
Also, I have been thinking of a theme change for a while now, since I'm not really writing for BBC!Sherlock anymore, I hope to make that happen soonish. Maybe find something cleaner, less fanciful.
And finally, anyone have experience with AO3 from an author's perspective? I like their kudos and series function and was wondering if it's worth getting an account there for archive purposes... It seems to be really kicking off since the last year or so...
