Title:Signs When an Idol is Dating
Pairing: JaeChun
Rating: Pg-13
Length: Oneshot
Genre: Romance, Humor
Summary: The five levels to knowing how an idol is dating a.k.a how Park Yoochun is much too obvious.

A/N: From a request to write a oneshot based on This Post

Level 1: They always have a phone in their hands

From Little J: Hyung, where do you keep your animal shears?

To Little J: Why do you think I'd have animal shears?

From Little J: Jae hyung said you did.

Yoochun's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. He looked up where the rest of the set of Rooftop Prince were lounging around in near catatonic states, taking full advantage of the five minute break they were currently on.

To Big J <3: Do I have animal shears?

From Big J<3: Sure, they're in the shed on the balcony outside your room.

From Big J<3: Are you done with filming?

From Big J<3: Are they feeding you more? Are they giving you more breaks? More water?

From Big J<3: I told your director they needed to give you more water.

Yoochun glanced up from his phone with a grin, looking at the small mountain of water bottles he had seen the director personally carry into the filming set that morning. Jung Sukwon ambled by and grabbed a bottle, nodding his head in the direction of Yoochun's phone.

“Who're you texting all the time?”

“It's just Jaejoongie hyung” Yoochun answered with a shrug.

“Oh, tell him I said hi and tell him that Jiyoung noona loved that restaurant he recommended” Sukwon turned and yelled over his shoulder “Taesung-ah, Yoochun is talking to Jaejoongie. What did you want to tell him?”

“Tell Jaejoongie that I learned a new lunge form that I'll show him in the gym next time” Lee Taesung yelled back and for a second Yoochun wondered if Taesung was just as evil as the character he played in the drama.

That thought was interrupted by the ringing of Yoochun's handphone. He looked down at the screen, rolling his eyes before picking it up.

“Hyung, you didn't even give me a chance to text you back”

“It's been 3 minutes since I texted, even you aren't that slow, Yoochun-ah” Jaejoong's voice sounded a bit muffled and there were sounds of various guys yelling in the background. Yoochun knew he probably should ask, but didn't really think he wanted to hear the answer right now.

“I got distracted. Since when did you and Taesung hyung become gym buddies?”

“Ever since he tweeted that I have a sweet body” Lee Taesung answered easily, not even bothering to hide the fact he was eavesdropping.

“You said what? on where?” Yoochun asked, sounding like he was two seconds away from an asthma attack.

“His body is nice!” Jaejoong said defensively.

“Why are you even noticing things like that?”

“What else am I supposed to do at the gym?”

“Exercise?!?”

Jaejoong sighed deeply. “I can't help but get distracted. You never come to the gym with me even though I ask you every time”

“I have asthma, hyung”

“Yeah, well that didn't stop you last night when...”

“Say the rest of that sentence and I promise it'll never happen again” Yoochun bit out. He looked nervously around at the rest of the cast who were openly listening in on his conversation.

“We already know” Han JiMin said, rolling her eyes.

The director stepped into the middle of the group of actors. “Alright everyone break is over, so...oh Yoochun-ah...you're on the phone? Please...tell Jaejoong-sshi about the water” he said nervously pointing to the tower of bottles.

“How did you even know I was talking...”

“How many bottles of water are there?” Jaejoong asked, his voice carrying through the now quieting set.

“About 50” the director answered, bringing his head closer to Yoochun's phone.

“I'll bring 100 tomorrow” Jaejoong deadpanned. The director just nodded, a fake smile plastered on his face, as he ushered the cast back to the set.

“I have to go now, hyung. I'll call you after we finish filming”

“Okay. Film well, Chunnie” Jaejoong's voice dropped to a whisper. “As expected we're...”

“Perfect” Yoochun whispered back, mouth stretched in a grin. He hung up the phone and tossed it on his seat before going back to the set.

From Little J: Hyung? The animal shears?? Do you know where they are or not???

Step 2: Their Fashion Style Changes

There was a saying that once someone settled down that they became complacent. They gained weight and stopped caring about how they looked. Yoochun was a celebrity above all else, so the weight gain couldn't exactly happen. But slowly, over the years, his skinny jeans and deep v neck shirts started to become replaced with baggy sweatpants and beanies and flip flops and ugly oversized sweaters and coats in 50 shades of dull.

And Junsu thought that would be okay if Yoochun was some middle aged dude. But Yoochun wasn't even thirty yet so it really wasn't acceptable.

They had just finished shooting a bunch of TV spots for the World Water Fund and were waiting for their managers to bring them dinner. Junsu was curled up on a sofa in the corner of the room, watching something on his phone.

Yoochun walked by, looking around the room. “Hey Su, do you know where hyun....what are you watching?” He grabbed the phone out of Junsu's hands.

“You can't just take things like that!”

“Is this Jae hyung and mine's old couple talk?”

Junsu huffed and pawed at his phone. Yoochun held it above his head. “Why would you be watching this?”

“I was feeling nostalgic”

Yoochun's face contorted “Nostalgic?”

“If you wanted to see Chunnie and I falling all over each other, all you have to do is ask” Jaejoong interjected as he walked into the room with two bottles of water. He handed one to Yoochun.

“You know that I exist, right?” Junsu asked.

“What?” Jaejoong asked, opening the other bottle of water and taking a swig of it. He chuckled at Junsu's aghast face before twisting the cap back on and tossing it to their maknae.

“I don't want your spit water! Give it to Yoochun”

“Why do you think I want his spit water?”

Jaejoong turned to Yoochun with his eyebrows raised “You don't?”

Yoochun turned a bright red and quickly tried to change the subject as Junsu tried his hardest not to gag. “So why were you watching this old couple talk, again, Su?”

“Because I couldn't believe that once upon a time I was jealous of your fashion” Junsu sighed.

“What?”

“Jaejoong hyung spent this whole couple talk talking about how you had great fashion tastes and then I came in halfway and even said I was jealous of the clothes you wear” Junsu wailed, sounding a bit distraught. Because he was distraught.

Because the Yoochun in front of him was wearing grey sweatpants paired with a weird knitted sweater that looked like it had once been a bed quilt and a beanie that had a dye stain that was the same golden brown color of Jaejoong's hair and...

Junsu knew that Yoochun had to have been more fashionable than this once upon a time. He couldn't have been jealous of this. His taste had to be better than this...

“I like the way Chunnie dresses now” Jaejoong frowned, looking at the man next to him. “Besides, who else does he need to impress?”

Oh, Junsu thought, well this made sense now.

And it made even more sense a month later when Jaejoong threw a goodbye party after his last concert before enlisting. The elder members' friends came in a steady stream, all dressed in various degrees of vagrant.

Junsu cringed as Jang Geun Suk walked past wearing a strange hat and a jacket that was 5 sizes too big for him. He hugged Lee Sang goon, who had on an oversized sweater and a beanie that looked as though it had been run over by a truck and then left out in the rain for a week.

“This is like a hobo reunion party” Junsu breathed out, looking at everyone in the room. He turned to Yoochun. “Do you think hyung has a type?”

“What?” Yoochun asked as some guy wearing flip flops and what seemed to be half a t-shirt walked past.

“Do you think Jae hyung has a type?” Junsu repeated “He seems to be into the...um...vagabond style”

“Yeah well. No one can reach my level”

Junsu looked at Yoochun, taking in his pajama pants and weird fisherman's hat. Yeah, no one would be able to reach that level.

“I guess it's good to be self aware. But this really isn't something you should be proud of” Junsu mumbled as he grabbed a coke from one of the servers milling around.

But as Jaejoong descended upon them with a breathless Yoochunnie where did you get that hat? Junsu knew that Yoochun probably didn't care about anything else.

Level 3: Their Ideal Type Gets Specific

“So the next question that all of you are going to get asked is your ideal type.”

The five boys sat cramped on one way too small sofa as they stared at their manager with blank eyes. They had spent the whole day rehearsing and it was a miracle that they were all even able to sit upright.

Or maybe not so upright Yoochun thought ruefully as he felt his best friend half slump into his lap, the hair that the company forced Jaejoong to keep long tickling the sides of Yoochun's neck in a way that made the teenage boy squirm for reasons he really didn't want to think about.

“So Jaejoong-sshi, what would your idea type be?”

Yoochun pretended to be holding his breath because he was about to have an asthma attack. Not because he was nervous about whatever words would be coming out of Jaejoong's mouth.

“I dunno. Someone with pretty hands, I guess”

Yoochun subconsciously stared down at his own hands. He had never really noticed them before. They were okay hands, he figured. Maybe a little above average? He didn't have scrapes and bruises from playing sports like Junsu and Yunho had. And he didn't have the callouses from writing out essays and completing math and geography packets like Changmin did. His hands were nice. They might even be considered pretty...

“Yoochun-sshi? Yoochun-sshi!”

Junsu nudged him from the other side and Yoochun's head shot up, seeing their manager staring at him with an exasperated expression.

“Uh.....yes?”

“I was asking what your ideal type is” the manager sighed. “it's not a yes or no question”

Yoochun's mind blanked out for a second before going into overdrive. He thought about all the girls he had dated over the past couple of years. But...he hadn't really liked them that much. And he also hadn't really looked at any other girls lately. It wasn't as though there weren't any around, between all the new coordis and female idols and dancers, but they had been working non-stop recently and any free time he had, he usually preferred to spend it playing the piano with Jaejoong or cooking and eating cheap ramen at midnight with Jaejoong or laying on the ground in their room and listening to classic Korean rock with Jaejoong or....

This could be a problem.

“Yoochun-sshi, this really shouldn't be a hard question to answer. You can give any answer if you don't want to be specific”

“Um” Yoochun started, mind still working at double pace “Someone older and...”

He felt Jaejoong tense up next to him and he knew he couldn't continue down this path, so he just looked around to find something random to say. There was a mug on the coffee table in front of them. A sloppily painted Micky Mouse holding a spatula was splotched on one side. Jaejoong had bought it for 10 won in a stall at the Dongdaemun Market before their debut. Yoochun had an identical one that was currently sitting on his bedside table.

“...I really need to wash that mug”

“What?” their manager asked, making Yoochun realize that he had just spoken aloud. He quickly scrambled to make up something that would sound okay.

“Um someone who is older than me and who can wash dishes well”

“That...is a really weird ideal type, hyung” Changmin said and Yoochun didn't even bother to reply because yeah. It was weird.

“Are you hiding something?” their manager asked, eyes narrowing, “You seem nervous about this question. Do you have a girlfriend?”

Jaejoong laughed from next to Yoochun “How could Chunnie be dating? We don't have time for girls”. He threw his hand around the younger boy's shoulder, fingers clasping onto Yoochun's shoulder with a little too much pressure.

“Okay, well if any of you do start dating, make sure that whatever ideal type you decide on doesn't change because it can cause people to get suspicious”

Star Chousun Interview with Park Yoochun
July 13, 2012

“So, Park Yoochun-sshi, can you tell us your ideal type?”

The phone in Yoochun's pocket buzzed silently-three staccato vibrations-the personal text tone that Jaejoong had picked out for himself. He remembered Jaejoong telling him that morning, when the older male's voice was still heavy with sleep and his hair was sticking out in all directions, that he would give Yoochun a text when he picked Harang up from the groomers.

Yoochun smiled.

“My ideal type is someone who is bright like sunshine. Who loves the people around them and can get along well with my family. And who is straightforward and has a good sense of humor”

From across the room, Yoochun's manager groaned.

Two weeks later, when the interview ran, media outlets were rife with speculations about if Park Yoochun was dating and who the mysterious women who fit his idea type was.

“I clearly remember our old manager telling us not to change our ideal types” Jaejoong grinned as he leaned across the sofa to read the articles that Yoohwan had pulled up on his laptop.

“This reporter thinks hyung is dating Park MinYoung” Yoohwan said happily. Jaejoong snorted for a second before becoming a bit sullen.

“Hey, Hwan, I'm better than Park MinYoung, aren't I?”

“I don't know. She's really pretty, hyung” Yoohwan answered easily.

One week later, Jaejoong dropped a script in front of Yoochun. “My new drama”

“Dr Jin” Yoochun said. He took the script and flipped the pages until he found the casting information. He read the main female lead's name and grinned.

“I'm going to show you that I'm better than Park MinYoung”

Yoochun looked up at Jaejoong, “It was never a competition, hyung”.

On the second day of filming, Jaejoong sent Yoochun a text I can see why you liked her so much!

On the third day of filming, Yoochun showed up on the set with 200 water bottles and possessive hands latching onto Jaejoong's arms.

Level 4: Even When They're Busy, They Still get a Drivers License

Yoochun was going to die. He knew it. Felt it in the very depth of his bones.

He rolled over in the bed and nearly cried as he couldn't feel his limbs. There was a cold palm on his forehead and he didn't know if it belonged to him. He thought he could feel both of his hands holding onto the blanket he was trying to toss off of himself, but maybe those weren't his hands and maybe he wasn't in a bed and what was a bed even, actually?

“Chunnie-ah, are you okay?”

Yoochun tried to groan but it only came out as a series of pathetic whimpers. Jaejoong was kneeling on the ground next to the bed with a concerned look on his face.

“I'm going to try to get you out of bed okay, Chun? Just grab onto my shoulder” Jaejoong said as he grabbed the younger boy by his waist and slowly hoisted him out of the too hot bed. Yoochun couldn't feel his legs so he leaned completely on Jaejoong, causing the older boy to stumble and crash onto the ground, taking the blanket that Yoochun was still grabbing onto down with him.

Suyoung poked her head into the room and looked at the two boys on the ground with raised eyebrows.

“You know, when we told you two that we were okay with this whole thing, we didn't mean that we wanted to walk into the middle of it”

“Yah!” Jaejoong cried, throwing whatever was in his hands at his older sister. Unfortunately that thing was Yoochun, who just sort of flopped helplessly before hitting the ground with another pitiful moan.

“Help me pick Chun up, I think he's really sick”

“So I'm guessing that the driving test is out of the question” Suyoung said as she walked over to help her little brother.

“No” Yoochun croaked out, “have to..re...take the test”

“So now you can talk” Jaejoong said, rolling his eyes. “I told you that you should have gone to the hospital after you had that asthma attack during your test”

Suyoung and Jaejoong grabbed Yoochun by the arms and hoisted him up, practically dragging him out of the room and down the stairs to the main room where their parents and another assortment of sisters were.

“We need to get this one to the hospital” Suyoung declared, dropping Yoochun in front of the Kim clan as though he was a sack of rice.

“No hospital” Yoochun whined. “Take test?”

“Yoochun-ah, you can't even stand up. How do you think you're going to take your drivers test?” Jaejoong's father asked, looking at the slumped over boy with concern. Considering the schedule that his son and his bandmates had, the older man wasn't surprised that their bodies would crash like this when they finally got time off.

“Yeobo, you take Yoochunnie to the hospital and I'll take Jaejoong-ah to the driving center” Jaejoong's mom said.

“No” Jaejoong cried “I can't...you can't expect....I can't leave him like this, umma”

“It's not that dramatic, Jaejoong-ah”

“You wouldn't leave appa like this!” Jaejoong whined.

“Son, I once fainted and had to go to the hospital and your mother decided to go and visit her sister in Ilsan”

“Oh really, so can we bring up how I went into labor eight times and you decided to not come into the room...”

“Umma, appa, if Yoochun dies while you're arguing, I'm never going to forgive you” Jaejoong interrupted as he knelt on the ground next to the pathetic lump of soulmate.

“So dramatic” his father huffed. “The boy is just sick, Jaejoong-ah. No one is going to die”

“But he has asthma, appa!”

“Let him be, yeobo” Jaejoong's mother said, smiling at the two boys on the ground. “After all this is Jaejoong's first boy....boyfriend” The word felt a little awkward on her tongue, she wasn't used to saying it in the same context as her younger son, nor did she think she ever would need to.

Jaejoong had dated girls in the past, a few of them pleasant young ladies and a few of them not so much so. So the older woman was used to meeting her youngest's girlfriends and always looked forward to the kind of girls that her son would bring back home.

She also was used to Yoochun. The boy's whole family was back in the US, so Yoochun had become another adopted son of the Kims, coming over whenever the boys got a break. She was glad that her son had found such a good best friend in his band. And everyone in the family truly did adore the slightly younger boy who seemed to be more an extension of their beloved Jaejoong than anything else.

What she, nor her husband or daughters, had really expected was Jaejoong and Yoochun to show up at the house in Gongju three days ago holding hands with matching expressions and matching rings and matching tattoos healing under their matching shirts.

To say that Jaejoong announcing that he was dating a boy was something she had been immediately okay with would have been false, but after raising nine children there really wasn't much in the world that could surprise the matriarch of the Kim clan. And both her and her husband has always considered themselves to be fairly liberal for two Koreans living out in the countryside.

Besides, no one in the family had ever been able to refuse Jaejoong anything before. He had been a spoiled prince from the moment he toddled through the door of their house and if being with Yoochun was what would make their prince happy, the Kims had no choice to be okay with it.

“Umma, we can all go the hospital and get Yoochun-ah admitted and then one of us can take Jae to go take his test” Ahyoung said. The rest of the sisters nodded their head in agreement with the plan.

“I...need.....to take test” Yoochun mumbled as one of the girls picked him up and stated to drag him out of the house.

“Why do you need to take the test so badly?” Sookjin asked as they walked over to the car. “Waiting one year won't be too bad”

“Hyung....asked me to drive....to Han”

“You're going to learn how to say no to Jaejae” Suyoung said “trust us, that's the most important thing when it comes to our little brother”

“But hyung...wants....”

“Jaejoongie also wants an izakaya. Will you get him one of those too?” Ahyoung asked.

Yoochun became silent, trying to cut through the fuzziness in his brain in order to calculate how long he would have to save in order to buy an izakaya. Or three. Or all of izikayas in Japan....

“You really need to learn how to say no” Minkyung said with a giggle as she and her fellow sisters deposited Yoochun in the backseat of the very large Kim family van. Jaejoong crawled in after him. He held onto Yoochun's hand and sang softly to him the whole way to the hospital while his sisters sat squished around them, pretending to throw up.

“This is so gross, how far away from the hospital are we?” Suyoung asked.

“It's not gross, noona!”

“You never saw us act like this with our boyfriends” JinHee pointed out.

“Yoochunnie is different!”

“Yoochunnie is going to get thrown out of this van if he keeps coughing all over my favorite sweater”

“Umma! Did you hear that?”

Both of the parents sighed from their front seats as their kids' bickering and Yoochun's groans filled the car. The hospital was only a ten minute drive away, but it felt like years before the van cankered to a halt in front of the emergency room.

Jaejoong immediately jumped out of the vehicle and into the emergency room yelling at whatever nurses were around to bring a stretcher because his friend was dying. His father, who had trailed behind him shook his head at the nurse, a pretty young girl who had gone to high school with his eldest daughter.

“It's not a rush, Jooyeon-sshi. We just have a sick boy who's asthma has been acting up”

“But appa...”

“Jaejoong-ah, let the hospital people do their jobs, okay?” the older man said as he led his son outside, where the sisters were gently removing Yoochun from the van. Jooyeon came out with a strectcher and put the younger boy on it, checking his pulse as she wheeled him into the hospital.

The whole Kim clan followed, eyes widening as the nurse asked for an oxygen mask to be brought over.

“What does he need that for? Is he that sick? He can't breathe on his own? Is he going to die?” Jaejoong asked the poor nurse in rapid fire.

“It's just a precaution, Jaejoong-sshi. Since your friend has asthma...” Jooyeon said calmly. The doctor, another lady who had gone to school with one of the Kim girls, came in and looked at the hyperventilating boy on the stretcher and the hyperventilating boy standing next to him.

“So this must be Yoochun-sshi” the doctor said. “SeonHee has told me that he's come to Gongju often. It's nice to finally meet him”

“Yoochunnie is going to die and you....”

SeonHee restrained her brother before giving her friend a tight smile. “Sorry for that, we're still trying to train him”. Jaejoong gave a muffled shout from behind the hand his sister had clutched to his mouth.

“It seems as though Yoochun-sshi is having trouble breathing” the doctor said, looking over the boy. “We'll put him on an oxygen mask and then give him a sedative so he can rest a little. And then we can put him under observation until his symptoms get better”

Jooyeon returned with the oxygen mask and Yoochun turned to Jaejoong before they were able to put it on him. He grabbed onto Jaejoong's shirt.

“Hyung...you have to go take the test....”

“I'm not going anywhere until you get better” Jaejoong replied, softly, dramatically. Suyoung thought her eyes would fall out of her head with the force that she rolled them with. She once again grabbed her brother and pulled him back.

“I'll wait for you, Yoochun-ah!” Jaejoong cried, throwing his arms up in the air. Yoochun weakly raised one of his own arms as they rolled him away.

“Where did we go wrong with this kid?” Suyoung sighed as she deposited her little brother into one of the chairs in the waiting room. They all sat around in silence, which was a miracle for the Kim family, until Jaejoong's handphone started ringing.

The boy picked it up without looking at the caller ID. Changmin's voice rang through the quiet waiting room.

“Hyung! I've been texting and trying to call you. I'm sick!”

“Yah! Yoochun's going to die!”

All the sisters slumped down into their seats.

Yoochun turned out to be okay, just had a flu that was made worse by his asthma. He was out of the hospital in a day and both of them were able to take and pass their drivers license test the day before they had to go back to Seoul.

“Now I can take you on that drive you wanted to go on, Jae hyung!” Yoochun said excitedly as they exited the testing center.

“Take him on that drive and then keep driving forever” Ahyoung mumbled, earning her a smack in the head from her younger brother.

Level 5: They Get a Car

Yoochun's eyes dilated as Jaejoong thrust a magazine with an absolute beauty of a car on the cover.

“Hyung...what...”

“You are going to get this car” Jaejoong said as he pointed his finger to beautiful white Rolls Royce that gleamed up from the glossy cover. “And I am going to get this one”. He then pointed to what seemed like the same car but in black.

“Couples cars?” Junho asked, looking down at the magazine. “Isn't that a little ostentatious?”

“How do you even know what that word means, Junho?” Jaejoong asked.

“I went to college, hyung!”

“Why did you bring a car magazine to my parents' anniversary party?” Junsu moaned. His cousin...or uncle...or some relative was giving a speech about love and longevity and it was hard enough to pretend to stay interested without Jaejoong bringing out what seemed to be all of the car catalogues in Korea.

“Yoochunnie and I are going to get these” Jaejoong preened, pointing out the matching Rolls Royces. He flipped the page until it landed on a bright blue lamnorghini aventador. “And you are going to get this”

“Don't we have any say in what we want?” Junsu pouted.

“No. Your hyung knows best”

And, as Junsu looked at the beautiful blue car on the page, he thought maybe that was true.

Yoochun kept his car in storage most of the time. There weren't very many white Rolls Royce ghosts in Korea and he wasn't too keen on people knowing where he was driving to all of the time. Not that he really ever drove any place interesting, but Jaejoong was a weird guy and he sometimes liked to go to themed motels so....the Rollys Royce mostly stayed in storage.

Yoochun especially didn't have much use for the car after Jaejoong enlisted in the army. So it sat, next to Jaejoong's beautiful black wraith, in a storage garage until one day when Yoochun had the urge to go on a drive.

It wasn't so much of an urge as it was an inclination. And it wasn't so much of an inclination as it was a want. A want that stemmed from the fact that he had never been separated from Jaejoong for more than a week and there were quite a number of of soldiers writing back home about his boyfriend. A lot of soldiers. Way too many soldiers.

So on a weekend that he had off from filming, Yoochun decided to get into that barely used car and go on a random drive where he randomly chose to go north on the highway and randomly ended up in Paju where Jaejoong was not-so-randomly stationed.

Yoochun didn't really know how visiting a soldier worked, so he just ambled around outside the training camp until one of the soldiers became nervous enough to come up and ask him what he was doing there.

“I'm here to visit a soldier” Yoochun said uncertainly.

“Which unit is he in?”

“Um...the training one?”

The soldier looked at him strangely. “You're here to visit a soldier in training camp? Usually family waits until their kids get assigned to a unit before coming to visit them”

“Well...our family is a little strange” Yoochun said with a strained smile, hoping that he looked like a normal guy coming to visit his brother and not like some crazy guy who had just decided to travel 2 hours on a whim in order to see someone who had only been gone for a couple of weeks.

“We don't usually allow trainees to get visitors” the soldier said a little cautiously. But he saw the car that Yoochun had drove up in and even though the man in front of him was dressed like some sort of schizophrenic vagrant, there weren't many people in Korea with Rolls Royces so he thought maybe this guy belonged to some sort of chaebol family. “But...if you're quick...”

“I'll be quick” Yoochun assured.

So Yoochun found himself sitting at a table in a waiting room where some ahjummas were also sitting, obviously waiting to meet up with their sons. He felt a bit out of place, and he still didn't really understand why he was there in the first place...

...until Jaejoong walked into the room with a bright smile on his face. He sat across the table from Yoochun. The ahjummas around them were not so subtly staring, whispering about how good genes seemed to run in the family.

“I was hoping that when my commander told me that my rich chaebol relative was here to see me, it would be you”

“What?”

“Did you drive here in your Rolls?”

“Yeah” Yoochun answered, realization dawning upon him. “Oh”

“Too bad they think we're related so I can't kiss you” Jaejoong sighed.

“You wouldn't do that anyways with all these ahjummas here”

“Who knows, Yoochunnie. The army could have changed me into an exhibitionist. You know we have to shower in front of each other here?”

“Yeah” Yoochun deadpanned. “All the soldiers writing home about what a great body you have sort of clued me into that”

“Well none of them have great bodies, so don't worry”

“That probably would have been comforting if you were actually into great bodies”

Jaejoong grinned. He had missed this. Had missed Yoochun.

“You know, celebrities use their cars to date all the time, but I think you're probably the first celebrity to use his car to go on a military date”

“There was an article that came out the other day about the signs that an idol is dating. A lot of the comments were about me” Yoochun said. “Apparently I'm too obvious. A lot of people think Shin Sekyung and I are dating now”

“There's only one TV in our dorm” Jaejoong said “I make my whole unit watch Sensory Couple every week so they think Sekyung and I are dating too”

“At least we're finally rumored with the same lady”

“I guess that's as good as we can hope for” Jaejoong said with a smile. “Come visit me every weekend when I get assigned to my permanent unit?”

“I think I'll be in training then, hyung” Yoochun said.

“I'll come visit you then. But after your training is over, you're driving to see me every weekend. Give that car of yours a workout”

“People are going to think I'm dating even more than they do now” Yoochun sighed.

Jaejoong laughed sunnily

“Let them”
