Is i possible that you can ptu your kids into too many activities? JP Jr likes sports and he has been doing baseball sione he was 4. He likes it an is getting good. He just tried Flag football last fall and he liked that too and was pretty good at it too. So he will be doing football in the Fall and baseball in the spring. Last night , he signed up for Karate. He has been asking to do it and it did not cost a lot, so he is now doing that.
I also want him to learn French. And it has more to do with just learning French. My friend's son, that is the same age as just (their b-days are a week apart) is being homeschooled and taught by this lady that is from Moroaco. My friend's son can already speaks french, read english at a 3rd grade level and learning Arabic and probably learn Spanish too. This program that she follows is based on the french education system. She has an after school program that would teach him and AJ french and eventually spanish. And hopefully also keep him challenged b/c he is bright. I meet the teacher yesterday. She was very entusiastic about teaching and meeting the kids to see their potential. I have sked both kids if they would like to try it.
But, hubby is asking why does he need to learn french. Why just not have them learn spanish. I think that kids should be as bilingual or multiligual inthis dayan age. ANd in the long run not only will the kids learn more languages but al so thin itwill help wth their regular education.
Also, JP Jr has expresse interest in learning to play the guitar and piano. AJ wants to learn those too.
Am I putting them into too much? I just wonder.
