It's always the nights when I should go to bed early that I find myself staying up late. But it's ok. This is the time of my life to be staying up late and working on stuff.
I just sent off a small sampling of my illustrations to a local Eugene author looking to hire a student to do some sequential comic art as an intern. He's published several books so far (written, not illustrated), but I think he's trying to move into graphic novels. I'm not exactly a sequential illustrator, but I've done a good number of comic book type images this term that I'm pretty proud of anyways. And i'm very adaptable. And anyways, whenever somebody contacts the UO wanting to hire a student artist, nobody really responds...so, here's hoping! Though, I suppose it's much better to be cautious.
I've kinda been lazy when I should be applying for more internships, it should lessen the burden during school next year when i'm expected to have one for each term. Also maybe lead to a job? In this economy, they don't even want interns that they don't have to pay.
I still don't have a roommate lined up for next year. Portland just keeps seeming scarier.
